methods of input (Part 2)

The Elite 2 is indeed a chonker but it’s never caused me any strain. 3DS doesn’t have a terribly comfortable grip so the weight hits harder I think

has all the things I’d want it to have if it’s good, but christ is it ugly and expensive

we finally hit the 00s madcatz nostalgia

It looks a lot like the Astro C40, a controller I stopped using when it started developing stick drift, took out of it’s zipper case to see if I could fix it, and now the rubber grips are all gooey.

I mean, it could be alright. But I have my doubts

Dunno if it was this thread or the Switch thread, but I’ve been messing with those Hori Fit Joycons. They’re…alright! The most comfortable way of holding them, for me, has me sort of digging the left joycon into my palm with my fingers out, but it hasn’t been uncomfortable? The buttons are still weirdly mushy like the other Hori Split Pads, but feel better than I recall those being.

Just gotta keep in mind the “no rumble, no gyro” caveats. But I like them. Been cozy enough playing Ys Origin with them, anyway.

Speaking of which, I don’t remember if I ever mentioned, but I was looking for a good joycon replacement forever and tried a bunch but never found anything good with a satisfying grip that kept the “being able to use each independently” function. In the end, I just got 3d printed grips for the stock joycons and it’s been the best solution I ever found.

I ordered these like a year ago and they’ve been more than fine through vigorous Monhun sessions (before I switched to light bowgun): Thicc Boi Joy Grip - Etsy Canada

Not my photos:

Anyway, I would more than recommend this to anyone. Also they fit in cases that fit the Hori Split Pad Pro.

Streamlined update of their PS2 Super Converter I guess, don’t see much need to upgrade since my SC is still working great. I imagine they’ll discontinue the ol’ PS2 Super Converter now though.

Yeah, I’ve been struggling to understand what the difference is between the adapter I have and this one :man_shrugging:

been hanging out for one of these things to be available again, I really want to be able to do PS2 with an Xbox One controller without fuss

Retro bit news!

The age of dual analog Saturn pads may finally be upon us!

It also has 4 shoulders making it basically the controller for everything.

I really hope it comes out this time

Retrobits have pretty enormous fail rates though, right? I always heard that was a big issue with their genesis/megadrive controllers.

I’ve had nothing but bad experiences with Retrobit stuff.
