I suspect that this came about begrudgingly after they released the Pro X Superlight which does not have a physical DPI button among other things in order to hit 60g wireless and is ostensibly for pro players at tournaments.

I must regretfully report that Silent Ink switches actually are that much better.
they really are, right? I had @doolittle use them for my recent build after I got some on my tester and I was blown away
In my experience this is true of all of the Ink variants.
I think they’re binned for tolerances. All 70 of the bag I got for Felix’s board had an incredible lack of lateral play in the stem.
I don’t think they disclose the housing material but UHMWPE would make sense.
