methods of input (Part 1)

I like how the new imac has the same internals as an ipad but still manages to have the giant chin

This a bonepad?

I should just go buy a spare ps4 controller for PC use.

series x controller is honestly a strong rec for PC use rn, it has the dpad from the elite 2 and is a fraction of the cost (they were selling them for $40 at launch, I think it’s gone up since), and UNLIKE THE ELITE 2 it can actually pair to 2 devices

but no, doolittle is talking about the 8bitdo pro 2 in this case, not the xbox elite 2

Nah, the 8bitdo Pro 2 that’s a Homercar derivative of the SNES pad.

The new Xbox controller (the “series” controller, non-pro) is very good for widdle hands

I feel an instinctual repulsion from that controller, it looks way too “Business”

That’s the controller you use to speedrun PowerPoint

Played some NES Castlevania with both an N30 and a dogbone today. Mostly with the dogbone.
N30 seems fine but I like the dogbone a lot better.

I started using the M30 (Genesis/Saturn-style pad) for NES instead of their Super Nintendo-style controller. The big squishy dpad is excellent, but there’s not a perfect replacement for the SELECT BUTTON. Works well on C, though.

i have little weird little configurations for the M30 which i love, try’em see if you like’em

for NES/PCE it’s something like
Start [unused] [unused]
Select B A

(on emulator those unused buttons can be used for all kinds of meta stuff, screenshot, load state, fast forward, etc.)

for SNES it’s
Y X A
Y B A

Awful, shouldn’t have your hands that close together

Similar mechanics in keypad form

I would absolutely never use either of these but I want both of them so bad

If you’re like me and you bought a $5 Steam controller (“because why not?”) a while ago and then never used it, seems like resale on them on eBay is pretty decent, $40-60 pre-owned.

Might cash out on this thing now I need the money more than I need the pad

gotta love stuff like the alphagrip and aimpad analogue keys that are products of one lone guy trying tremendously to make a boondoggle patent happen

Yahoo and Ivanka Trump chose Alphagrip from a pool of more than 10,000 contestants to be a finalist in the Yahoo Ultimate Connection Contest. AlphaGrip was one of only three ultimate winners by popular vote.
