I have just been informed of why you cannot buy Fanatec’s midrange wheel setups right now at all for any price, and it’s surprisingly good news; it’s because it’s being superseded by a direct drive wheel base for the same fucking price
yeah but you’ll have to buy the table clamp separately, who’s laughing now
That’s wild.
So glad I got a Thrustmaster TS-PC with all of the fixings on Craigslist so this itch is explored already
you, who owns a stand which doesn’t require any sort of clamp
or, alternately, me, for whom there is no suitable tabletop location to do this with
my sls saturn pad has finally died after… 12 years? so i dug out my old saturn → usb adapator, which is so old that i got it from lik-sang. it still works perfectly holy shit
I forgot this thing even existed…
Got myself a boring old RAP4 as a birthday present to myself to replace the Hori Fighting Stick Mini I’ve been using since 2016, and while I was at it, I ordered a Seimitsu stick and Seimitsu buttons to put inside there. They arrived today, and I gotta say it’s looking pretty sharp now:
Looking forward to playing some more on this in the coming days
New Retro-Bit Tribute64 controller, wireless now with built in rumble. Compatible with USB and N64.
https://retro-bit.com/tribute64-wireless/
I liked the original a lot so I’ll probably get this.
things like this make me feel like I’m the only person who liked the three prong design
How the heck do you play Sin and Punishment on that thing anyway
i wanted to like the retro-bit but i just can’t vibe with it
it feels light and super cheap, the stick is flimsy and the gates and stick don’t impact properly so you get very unpleasant action around the edges. sensitivity is “passable”. it’s no good for anything that needs real finesse like wave race or pilotwings or f-zero x.
goes without saying that the rumble pak support* makes the controller practically tip itself over while you’re holding it. this is kinda true of an original pad but way worse here
i only got it because i need something to use that doesn’t destroy itself in regular use as rapidly as OEM, but i find it unusable for tons of stuff.
i just want one decent modern N64 solution. just one (and no you can’t get a steelsticks64, the waiting list is years long)
- in the original, not the new wireless one. i have zero faith in any retro-bit product though, so i expect it is the same as their existing one just wireless
Bad news
I don’t think season 2 of The X-Files is compatible with MiSTer
you could probably implement an mpeg2 decoder on a de10
sounds like a horrible way to spend a friday, but I’m sure it’s doable
ok FPGA community you win, I give up, can we please have an emulation now
No emulation in my Good Christian Suburbs
Moron here I get the jist of what you are mad about but can you explain it to the moron?
