Migami’s, dev behind Castlevania: Lecarde Chronicles 2 and others, new game out now. Seems to have a bit of a Shinobi 3 vibe.

Can someone remortgage their house so I can afford this mint in box copy of Little Ralph

Does Lomax count as Slow Action if the level design is boring?

In conclusion I got Rayman instead.

this is so densely detailed and animated that i feel like it almost belongs in the grotesque thread. i kinda love it. I’d play this over rayman.

Well cheapest Lomax I could see was £50 disc only…
Boxed Rayman was less than a tenner.

I think about Lomax sometimes and how I was fascinated by the demo on PC but never cleared it and then that I later learned that it was basically the work of two people. https://www.henknieborg.nl/old/lomax_info.html

I feel like I could start a separate thread about it but I hate “player character spins in a circle” as an attack animation

Like how did that catch on

i’ve made this exact post about the Genesis Aladdin game

but looking at these games in 2020 is a trip to me because i remember seeing them in action when they were released and fully believing that the graphics were like, indistinguishable from hand drawn animation

CRTs are so kind to the pixel

I realise this is a bit loose but from the looks of it this seems like it does ultimately emphasise considered play and grounded settings. I am also partial to the 2000AD and SNES Euro platformer vibes it’s got going.

Possibly a Metroid, I don’t know I haven’t subjected myself to enough of it yet. Cool music.
