Supreme Warrior (3DO) (was also on Sega CD & 32X, Mac, Windows)
Any select button people playing Tekken? I am winkerwatson on psn, tekken and in general. You can beat me, winker, at Tekken.
was planning on it. i hear the netplay is bad? is it?
Not based on my limited experience so far. But as a pal fighter i never found 7 bad either.
My plan was to spend the year playing board games, but between Ganblue Fantasy Versus Rising (and Re-link), Under Night Sys Celes, Tekken 8, a possible KOF15 season 3 with new mechanics, and the undoubted SF6 season 2, Iām being tempted to come back. The only thing helping me rationalize myself out of spending money is focusing on how I want to play all of them but I wonāt have time to play all of them. So itās okay if I play none of them. That makes sense, right? Right?
Iām Tekkening and enjoying it so far but mostly pissing about with singleplayer first. Might try some online and ranked tomorrow.
I canāt bring myself to pay 100 Canadian dollars for another Tekken with broken rollback
Tekken 8 doesnāt have good netcode?
the network tests did not, I havenāt heard any reports for T8 from anyone whose opinion I respect yet
So far the netcode Iāve experienced is OK. Iāve only had about 5 matches though. No noticeably awful problems yet.
character select screen for the upcoming dragonball z sparking zero, officially considered to be the 4th in the series known in the west as budokai tenkaichi
from what Iāve seen from tekken netcode so far, when itās good itās good, but it canāt handle any problems. and wifi is an absolute no go at all.
also been playing Uni, which is a very fun game apart from the fact the PC version is entirely non functional, and there is no crosspay. tekkenās PC port is crashing all the time too. really making me feel great about buying all these games. maybe Iāll try MK1 to see if it works on PC yet, in case I want to continue feeling bad.
oh also tekken has this great feature where you canāt search for a private room. you just have to keep refreshing the lobby list and hope you eventually see the room your friends are in. this is great if you want to recreate the experience of using gamespy in 1998, but is otherwise perhaps not ideal.
surprised the FGC has not noticed there hasnāt been a French Bread game with a good PC port since UNIB and continues to fall for it
Iāve been out of the FGC loop since a month after SF6 came out, but this was the ābring your own consoleā fighting game table at Magfest:
When and how did PC get so popular in the last year?
When new game consoles cost $500 and controllers got increasingly hardware locked
And who wants to lug a PS5 around
On that note can someone tell me about the cheap hitbox things that are small enough to be pocketed?
Edit: are any good? I see them for like <$50. Thatās crazy. How do I decide on switch type? There is so much to decide on and so little info. I just want something cheap reliable and cute.
Double edit: will this actually PS5??! Why is this so complicated. Here
the standard recommended one these days tends to be a haute of some kind, though I guess the base one is a little more expensive now? I think it used to be 50 bucks. theyāre on amazon now so you get the returns if you donāt like it and theyāre popular enough to have some level of support. you get extra buttons. there are a lot of cheap options now because they all run on the 2040CE board, which is just an open source pi project. you donāt get PS5 or even PS4 support, though I think there are unofficial ways to get PS4 working. the board is quality other than that, very low input lag and full customization.
$300 in 2000 = $546.78 in 2024
PS2? = D
