it also doesn’t work on a regular hard drive, like it’s technically “playable” but all the cutscenes are fucked

I think I’m coming fully around on Control. Turns out playing that game with jittery performance and on a mouse with probably too high sensitivity may have colored my perception. I’m still early on but the combat feels more meaningfully frantic than last time as I play it again on PS5.

So far it’s like the greatest game ever but I love sincerity and tolerate self aware winking and do not like ironic backpatting. I do not need to be assured by a work that I can feel okay for liking it even if it’s not a work for 200 IQs only. that’s videogame insecurity. anything I like automatically is “genius shit” just be it being capable of stirring whatever pleasure neural pathways are left in my brain
