Looks like Paranormasight isn’t getting a proper sequel but is being continued in manga form.

Anyone else think it’s odd that trailers are now called stuff like “Story & Characters trailer” like it’s direct from a press kit? Feels clinical and detached, like the word “content”.

At least it isn’t called a “lore trailer”, I guess…

I think it’s to get around the complaints about trailers with no gameplay, “We told you there wasn’t any in this trailer!”

Gameplay trailers are usually only 40% gameplay anyway

The most important thing to me about trailers, and I think this is true of most people, is whether or not they are “Official”

Nothing gets me hype like knowing I’m about to watch an “Official Trailer”

Amazon are making A Yakuza tv show

I will give them props for how well the poster mimics the US cover of Yakuza 1 but I would have loved to see them attempt the Japanese cover in live action. It would have looked goofy for sure.

I don’t understand the point of taking video games that are already tv shows and turning them into tv shows. like, just play the game? what are you going to get from [guy who isn’t kiryu] doing [shit kiryu does] only, idk, less goofy, and written by a rando careerist

morbidly curious about how they handle the wacky sidequests
it’s not yakuza without the handbrake drifts in tone

This is precisely how I felt both before and after watching the Last of Us show

Personally I appreciate this kind of warning label because I like it when corporations tell me up front not to waste my time

and really, when you are searching for something to link on youtube it helps to have the trailers named things likke “characters trailer” than how Nintendo does with naming the trailers after whichever press conference the trailer debuted at.

Presumably the Yakuza tv show won’t take 120 hours to get through each season though

As someone who has played these games since the first released in the US, never be a completionist in a RgG game. It’s a miserable experience. I think my play clock is usually like 40 or 50 hours tops.

Well said and echoing. I’ve tortured myself with 100%ing a few rgg games and always regretted it though I have some brain-bug compelling me to try again every new release. Just play until you feel done
