which anime girl are you quoting here?
Tulpa
you are right cuba, its time we start putting in more girlyboys in games
Really excited for Dynasty Warriors Origins. They might finally cover the beginning of the story, at the Yellow Turban Rebellion.
this came out today
i saw someone talking about this on twitter. i don’t know a lot about this dev other than The Enigma Machine is one of those games i think i own on itch from a bundle that i’ve been meaning to play and i guess i own their second game too now from the Palestine bundle.
found two lil gems
(Looks at last two posts, ponders crossing out half of today’s random game post)
Man I watched the trailer for Echostasis, thought it had a cool aesthetic, sat back pondering what it reminded me of, saw the term “Enigma trilogy” and nodded before moving along; it took me until reading your post to make the connection to The Enigma Machine which is that game it was reminding me of.
I mention it as the exact same thing happened when I was browsing through that last Palestine bundle where I couldn’t figure out what Mothered (the second trilogy game) reminded me of until I clicked on the dev page to see what else they made. That game just constantly exists in the vague recollection part of my brain.
Anyways I thought Enigma Machine was fine, more of an aesthetic/mood piece than anything else but solid at that.
yeah that’s the impression i got as well. i saw Vektroid posting incredibly effusively about this new game (to put it mildly) so i figured it’s at least worth sharing, esp because it seems like a bigger project than the others. from my experience vaporwave people have a tendency to over-exaggerate/over-romanticize about things inside their aesthetic wheelhouse tho so perhaps take with a grain of salt. but i’m def gonna investigate further regardless.
there was an unreleased Splatterhouse Wanpaku Graffiti RPG for nes called SPLATTER WORLD…??? and it never came up until now???
Zombie de GOGO!, indeed
wild - it looks like it was pretty far along
we talked about this a couple weeks ago on here but i will summarize and say: i hope this recomp stuff means we get HD Iggy’s Reckin Balls with a good solid framerate and other games like that that big companies will never bother to touch to do a port of. there are quite a few N64 games out there that are hampered by chugging framerates and/or emulate audio choppily. also i’ve played a bit of the Majora’s Mask recomp port so far and it really just does feel like a well-done commercial remaster of the game.
I was skeptical of that Myst remake they did a few years back, but this actually looks pretty good. Seems like they nailed the atmosphere. Did anyone here play that Myst remake?
I played the Unreal 4 Myst and thought it was decent. It’s a bit of a different set-up to Riven so I’m not sure the atmosphere is as crucial but playing with all the mechanisms and exploration worked for me in it.
The Unity Myst that was on Switch suucckkeeddd but I heard the Unreal 4 one was good.
this looks remarkably good
There’s going to be maddening invisible walls all over that motherfucker isn’t there
riven: the remake of the sequel to myst
