Either the rumor is dumb, or Steam is a much smaller money-printer than I thought (which I can’t rule out — I’ve heard they rarely take anywhere close to a 30% cut for popular enough games).

MS thinks they might have a strategy to take over Nintendo at some point in the long-term future.
Something tells me that MS bowing out of the console market and putting Game Pass on the Switch 3 is more likely than that.
While on the face ridiculous something has changed since the pandemic in Japanese Law/Business because a lot more foreign influence has come about and the medium size Japanese companies from all sectors and particularly real estate are being eaten by foreign interests.
