uhhā¦ not really that, but medium-naut starts you with your maximum life bar and asks for you to sacrifice chunks of it for any upgrades you might find, including traversal options, making you more and more frail the more boons you have collected. afaict itās not possible to get everything, and you may in fact screw yourself over by overwriting a preferred power up with a more difficult to use one.
it definitely fucks with the regular feeling of progression these games have as you weigh what is and isnāt worth it

^ I like the wacky gameplay of this. Thereās copious cartoonish gore and no option to disable it; Iād suggest it to the dev, Alan Higgs according to Steam, but I guess it feels like a big part of the design intent so, I suppose Iāll just leave it. emulator developers deeply inside the community, itās difficult to avoid be a part evidence of assisting piracy, very different from developers who could claim emulator used for homebrew software 20 years ago, older generation canāt have so much traces.
