D’you ever lie awake at night and think about how, with only a few points in space of differing shape, size and limited colour, one can basically conjure up an entire guy?
I often find myself daydreaming about particular videogame sprites while going about my day. A whole universe of lil fellas occupy the inside of my brain, biding their time, waiting for just the right moment to worm themselves from my head straight into my heart
Oh yeah, huge shoutout to whoever sprited the original versions of these things. They nailed the assignment. They look like they shimmer like jewels, and the connection sprites are incredibly readable at all resolutions.
Game Center Love plus Pengo is 4 otherwise unrelated games, 3 of them brand new, in one arcade cabinet, maybe for the novelty and the fact they are all multiplayer games, or maybe because Triangle Service doesn’t have a lot of money.
It’s hard to say if “plus Pengo” has an apologetic tone because this HD version of the game already came out as a standalone arcade game, or they named it that way because Pengo rules. But when it came time to port it to xbox 360 they put only Pengo on the front cover and ignored the other 3 games, making their intentions clear.
Prefab Sprite is very good. I don’t wanna admit to how long I spent trying to workshop “desire as a sylph-figured creature” into the title of the thread… (sylph is a synonym of sprite, it should be so easy! gaahhh…)
Been humming and hawing over whether or not to do a 20 big ones thread for the big PS… Perhaps the appetite is there for it? (yeah okay, I’ll stop with the puns… I’m no Paddy McAloon!)
