Recently been learning a lot about Bomberman’s strange origins!
Like, for instance, did you know Bomberman started life as a circus clown?
It’s also weird to think that his current design stems from the developers reusing an enemy sprite from the NES port of Lode Runner…
I think my personal favourite has to be from just after his clown phase though, in a look I can only describe as dumpy wiseguy dressed to kill:
