I didn’t see a specific post for your ice climbers level but i just wanna say: it fucking broke me. it’s the worst thing i’ve ever played but also i love it and am surprised i actually gave up on it, but i know my limits and i’ve reached it lol. fantastic work, all of your levels are gems
I’m still working on my airship level. I had the idea to use autoscroll like the Mario 3 airship levels but do it with a twist where it zig-zags up and down while getting progressively faster. I’m still in the conceptual phase though. I haven’t started putting in the actual platforms yet. Everything is currently temporary and just there so I can run through things and test the autoscroll and try to get the flow of the level nailed down. It might become a speed run level because currently I can reach the end in like ten seconds.
I might ditch this idea and just have it be a normal slow autoscroll because it’s currently a bit too fast to add things like cannon balls. Or maybe I’m not placing them correctly because as it is now the cannons only fire once they’re on screen but I’m moving too fast for that to work because then they don’t have time to come at the player. So that idea needs more work or just needs to be dropped or something.
I also haven’t added any sub areas yet but I know I want to have a non-autoscrolling sub area that’s “inside” the airship but I haven’t figured out what to put there yet. Whether a puzzle or a simpler platforming challenge or something. I don’t know yet.
Also I’ve 100% finished Peach’s castle but I still have 19 levels I haven’t completed in story mode yet. There is a lot to do in this game in addition to the millions of user generated levels.
The slowest custom auto scroll speed is def too fast imo. Then again, maybe we shouldn’t be making auto scrollers as I’m told they’re bad
I used to dread them as a kid but now they just make me impatient. There might be a good middle ground somewhere but it is turning out to be really difficult to find.

Alicia asked me to make her a water level because those are her favorites (I know) so I did. I tried really hard to make it about timing and tense situations, like the best SMW water levels are. There are giant fireballs on tracks to simulate those purple spiky thingies from SMW, and bullet bills shooting fish and stuff like that. It’s not too hard, and I think it’s pretty good!!

Currently working on a gimmicky level where you blow up airships. It uses the scroll stop gimmick and on-off buttons as self-destruct buttons. Coming out okay so far!
The North Pole climb on this nearly broke me. Some of those jumps are tremendously difficult, and since the only enemy there is the timer it’s very stressful without being, like…frustrating I guess? I dunno, I liked it a lot and ALSO I almost didn’t finish this level, it’s good. Also very cute looking.
One Goomb is one of my new favorite levels. I would love to encounter than on an endless run.
I haven’t played Key Coins in the Deep yet but I’ll give you feedback as soon as I do.
i have the world record on this last time i checked. Your levels are all amazing and I love them. Your ability to make the classic Mario themes shine is extremely impressive, and your designs are so unique that I feel like I could reliably identify your levels without knowing you made them. I feel like they straddle the difficulty level really well too - they support cautious play but are also interesting to try and do very fast.

I’d pin the difficulty down as medium-hard, leaning towards hard.
I remade my final 2 Wii U levels. They are probably rather difficult. I reworked bits to accomodate bigger Super Mario and I kinda regret that. I think I should have just removed all powerups. If you get hit once you die. THAT’S IT. IT’S LIKE REAL LIFE.
