This level is insanely difficult btw. I still don’t know what the intended strat is for the bottom by the Yoshis. My eventual consistent strat didn’t even use the switch on the right, which doesn’t seem correct?

The first time I got past the vertical sections with the chomps I beat it. That second half is way easier than anything that comes before it.

I think a lot of the difficulty comes from the lack of direction for the player. The platform movement plus the tilting is complicated enough that it’s basically impossible to tell what will happen until you experience it (something that the arrows don’t really alleviate at all). This makes the first half of the level require either trial and error, or some sort of prescient ability to react to things before they happen. And the low grav makes it even harder to predict how anything will move!

i agree with all your feedback, just was tiring of the gimmick yet still felt the need to upload it since I sunk so much time into it. btw that last section of big ice climber: not fun, very bad. claw hitbox didn’t rule in my favor!

Yeah it’s super janky! Congrats on the win, though!

Add the no-jumping rule and you’ve basically recreated Tumbleseed

Wait WHAT I just figured out if you go to the star menu under “Courses” it’s a big feed of all the levels people you follow made. I’d been going to the “Leaderboard” -> Star menu like a chump, cause that only lists out each of the people you follow and then you have to click into each one to see if they have anything new.

I literally don’t even understand what I’m being asked to do right before the (first?) checkpoint.

Is there a single, specific, individual pixel I have to roll from? Or is there some tech I haven’t learned

Yeah, it’s just VERY specific. Watch what Mario is bumping into. If you hit the top, then you rolled too late, if you hit the bottom (or fall short) you rolled too early.

besides the wii u gamepad itself i do miss being able to fully cover up the arrow sign for aesthetics

One of this game’s biggest sins is the many compromises they seem to have made solely for the sake of the completely unplayable multiplayer.

really personal one, lads!

i debated a lot how subtle to make it bc i wanted to post it publicly on twitter, and i wanted some people to understand waht it was about but also didn’t want to be inappropriate so it was a balance! anyway my ex’s birthday was on saturday

i continue to be shocked by how easily i’m able to pour myself into these damn things
