Have I become obsolete ;_;
Nah.
I just canāt use you on every team! There are still some 'mon that have never seen battle (Tulpa and Toups were among them).
I consider you an effective status 'mon, but we do have a few other āmon that can fill that niche. Although, I got ta-thinkinā and realized that in the current meta you could also be a surprisingly effective mid-game attacker. You outspeed every un-boosted 'mon (except for the one you tie with), and with an attack-boosting item, you can OHKO a lot of major threats.
So tonight I threw together a team that I thought would allow your offensive side to shine.
Hereās a quick sample battle. Turned out pretty well, so Iāll probably test it some more. You donāt get a lot of action in this one, but you do steal the opponentās hope; so thatās good.

@sagegrimm and @Alyx also get some good action in.
I canāt ask for more
Okay, here are some more battles with this new team. Not bad, but a mixed bag. Weāre lacking strong switch-ins for a bunch of the threatening steel types (Heatran, Celesteela, Bisharp, Ferrothorn). Technically, Geoff or I can take them out, but we donāt really want to switch in on them, and we usually have other stuff to do.
Adding @drobe would literally solve all of those problems (well, maybe not Heatran). Soā¦whoās ready to be cut! Geoff, I think itās you or me. Possibly nocode. Anyway. Iāll figure it out next session.
Iām ok with it.
FYI yāall: Pokemon Showdown now reads my internet provider as a proxy, which means Iām able to create Pokemon builds and teams but not able to battle.
I submitted a help request, but havenāt heard anything back; and they discourage multiple submissions for the same problem. Itās been a while, so maybe Iāll try again. This restriction is supposed to stop people from using VPNās to ban dodge, but ironically I might try using a VPN to get around it.
Showdownās general policy on the error Iām experiencing is, āTurn off your VPN,ā and they donāt usually even field these issues. But Iām not running one, so yeah. Thailand has a heavily monitored internet like China, so who knows what the hell is going on. Other providers seem to work, but the one I have at home right now is by far the best one; so I donāt plan to switch.
Anyway. I can still build the two 'mon I have on deck, but I canāt battle test them, which isnāt very fun. So weāll see. Hopefully not the death of the thread.
