i am not sure about this weekend but i am interested and will keep y’all posted

luke smith is dope

these are pretty good answers

haven’t had any time to play the beta since monday but i’m surprised to hear impressions that controller is very viable in pvp

sonfd says he’s in

that makes 5

Damn, playing this on a KBM feels just wrong in so many ways. The PC version runs better than I thought it would on my 5 year old PC though, so I guess there is that. I really need to invest in a new vid card when I am employed again.

So PS4 version for now for me, definitely.

Bungie’s generous aim assist is present where it’s missing in other games like Overwatch.

Apparently there’s an issue where kb+m connected through xim4 is recognized as a controller, so you get aim assist on top of the natural kb+m advantage.

Destiny 2 on PC: A Review

Pros:

  • Looks good
  • Runs good
  • Mouse
  • I can elect to see people’s real names for some reason
  • FoV slider
  • It seems like maybe they learned that regular, non-raid content should have some spice

Cons:

  • Still pretty Destiny (mostly w/r/t writing and low-end encounter design)
  • What the hell kind of default binding for push to talk is Alt+~
  • I can’t use my overlays and see how close my GPU is from melting or what all 16 of my CPU threads are doing
  • I should be able to rail out hip fire headshots with any and every weapon from any range with my superior aiming implement and the game doesn’t let me do that so it’s bad

dang. I’m abroad visiting a friend until Tuesday!

I don’t get this game.

It’s a looter shooter where you don’t even collect loot during the mission, unlike in Warframe?

It makes you trek through maps where you have to jump down a lot and the movement is not exciting at all, unlike Warframe? (Playing a Titan, maybe this is different for other classes)

At the end it forces you to beat a boss that’s the most bullet spongiest bullet sponge of bullet sponges and if your whole team dies during this 10 minute borefest you have to start all over again, from the beginning of the boss, unlike Warframe, where you have 4 revives on the spot?

It does nothing innovative at all for the genre as far as I can see from the beta.

What I’m saying is I don’t see why I should switch if I want to play a looter shooter. I don’t see why I would play this at all, even if there weren’t any other looter shooters.

I don’t get it yet but I’ll give it another chance. Haven’t played the PvP stuff yet.

But if somebody could explain to me what they love about this game I’d love to hear it. I want to broaden my horizon.

the fuckin guns rule

The boss is really bad considering you fight a very similar boss a half dozen times in the first game. I can’t imagine why they put it in the game let alone the demo.

the guns are excellent, the endgame raids and trials of osiris are great though, yeah, you have to speedrun a fair bit of junk to get there
movement in the first game ruled, titans can outrun the speeder bikes on foot

ā€˜the guns are excellent’ is enough for me really

A glimpse into a world where Volition circa 2013 wrote Destiny. I hope Sabotage is in the game like Star Trek Beyond.

if we’re comparing stuff to warframe, warframe feels like a game full of noise to me. there is loot in destiny beyond getting stuff at the end of a level, but they left that stuff out of the beta (but understandably and puzzlingly).

destiny is very minimal and focuses on narrow set of things, but it does all the things it does very well.

also yeah the guns rule and i’d still rather play the worst raid in the game than most other video games.

to each their own though!
