I still like system shock 2 better
thief is good, it has exquisite level design, but it’s also dripping with :teleports behind u: heh… nothing personnel, kid… energy
yes it teleports behind u and says heh… nothing personnel, kid… but system shock 2 is a bad game, unlike the one you are playing now energy

played anodyne 2 foir 5 and a half hours straight, got stuck on puzzle. This game rules. Music is great and its fun
Are we shitting on SS2 so much because we’re being assholes to toups or because we’re actual assholes because it’s starting to get kinda uncomfortable if it’s the latter
forgot to mention i got the solution and played another 5 hours and beat it
The copious use of
should have given it away
Sure, sure. We’ve had problems with this kind of thing before though (not letting people like or dislike things) and it resulted in a lot of drama and bs so I just wanted to make sure we’re not doing that again. If toups is okay with it I’m okay with it
I definitely meant to come across as teasing and not actually shutting toups down. Sorry toups if I ended up sounding like a jerk
pc games suck
Is this like how democracy sucks but it sucks less than everything else because if so I agree

I tried out that Mutant Year Zero game for an hour or so since it is free for another half day and the impressions seemed alright. I have no real experience with any X-Com-likes and have bounced off every one I’ve briefly tried (so… Invisible Inc. basically) as no skill plus random levels and permadeath resulted in more frustration than anything else. MYZ has pre-designed levels and encounters and dying just takes you back to your last save which is often right before the battle commenced. This is totally my speed!
So I am awful and died on the very first and very second encounters that I think might have been tutorials but I still made some progress and got to the homebase to upgrade some things so I think I’ll stick with it for at least a bit.
EDIT: Also so far the duck character is named Dux and the boar Bormin, and I appreciate mailing in the names that blatantly.
yeah I’ve enjoyed what I played of mutant: year zero. It feels a bit odd coming from some familiarity with the source material but I really like how they handle the writing in the game, and the tactics feel just meaty enough without ruining the relaxed flavor.
playin’ the chunky DQXI demo on switch. I like this a lot, the only question is if I’d prefer the PC version for prettier graphics. I think…no?
also this game is good and between this and DQXI there were a lot of blue skies in my gaming today, which is a nice cleanse for the coming horrors of grinding classic wow until I die IRL
Jesus they released the first ten hours for free and progress carries over
that’s good of them
i should have waited for the Switch version tbqh, I know myself well enough that I will never complete an RPG when I have to sit at a computer or TV to do it.
But I’m not buying it again.
Avatar-Post synergy levels confirmed.
I’ve been re-living The Phantom Pain again and completely forgot about not grinding Mother Base before mission 20 because the rewards are sufficient up to that point…and yet that didn’t stop me Side-Opping around Afghanistan with a one-eyed wolfdog and a gym bag full of tranqs abducting Russian soldiers.
Skullface’s dialogue might be Peak Kojima but his general Lee Van Cleef posturing saves him from embarrassment some of the time.
Huey is cringeworthy and an ordeal to sit through whenever he’s not being tortured.
Miller gives good ham no, maybe some of the best in fact! Always growling, always angry.
Still haven’t touched the D-Walker, just like my last playthrough.
War never changes etc.
I learned minutes ago that Bugenhagen isn’t actually a caterpillar and I hate it.
