I can't believe today was a good play (Games you played today)

like a week ago I had been playing a little rainbow six siege every day and enjoying it until I ended up in a match with literally two of the dumbest human beings of anyone I’d ever met, seen, heard stories of, in my life ever. they were like a reboot of beavis and butthead with them as internet poisoned sociopaths who talk in memes and say “bruh” constantly. this is what two real live human beings have settled on for their personality in this finite existence we have. just being in the digital vicinity of these people was unbelievable psychic harm I’m still recovering from

last nite in morrowind: freed a bunch of argonian slaves (one was elderly and needed an escort to a nearby farm), murdered their captors and took their own ebony swords up against them. (they all had something to say about how they might agree that slavery is wrong, “but hey, it’s the law.” welp ur ded.) that hold and release m1 strike just crushes my enemies with these weapons–it actually makes combat kinda fun. ok i love morrowind now

Ring Fit Adventure is surprisingly fun but that leg strap just does not want to stay on

I find it sticks better on like sweat pants than bare leg; but yeah, definitely have experienced that too.

The mountain climber exercises are absolutely brutal for this.

I originally thought it was kind of funny that a Nintendo game was making nerds get invested in a workout programme by virtue of being vidcon but then a colleague of mine complained that a huge nerd I know who happens to live directly above them has taken to “jumping up and down on the floor for some reason, like what the hell, go to a gym” and now I think it couldn’t be any funnier

can’t bring myself to use the same justification that led there to be a Woody Allen movie starring Jason Biggs

Okay Monster Boy is falling apart a bit near the end. The padding is getting to be a bit much. I am on the second Metroid Prime-esque artifact hunt in the past few hours (the second of them is rather obnoxious) and surrounding it was some parts where it was legit hard to figure out exactly what the game wanted me to do to progress. I guess some of that would technically qualify as puzzles but on these the game probably needed to be a bit clearer in terms of exactly what it was asking of you.

I forgot about those, I think that was the point where I just started looking up on YouTube what to do

I’ve been playing The Shadow over Hawksmill, a Commodore 64 game that was released last week. It’s pretty unforgiving in places, unless you use save states (which I am).

I’d been meaning to try Rocky Memphis at some point, but this new game’s horror theme made me think it would be more appealing to me.

So far, I like the atmosphere and the exploration. Puzzles are basic, but I don’t have a problem with that.

in playing Dark Souls 2, pretty early on (one giant down), I got invaded by someone with 420 in their name. instead of killing me, they dropped seemingly every weapon and item for me to have. then they left. soo now I have a bunch of very powerful +10 weapons, good armor, and enough souls to level up however i want. I am not disappointed by this development, although I do feel a little guilty for racheting up my strength and vitality. I’m not going to indulge that one any more, for my conscience’s sake
