Just played an hour or two of The Talos Principle and in spite of myself I kinda got sucked in. There’s just enough mystery around the edges of all the rote puzzle-roomin’ that I want to keep going.
I don’t think too many people know how much you can cut into a turn with a rudder input in Ace Combat 7. Was playing multiplayer against a bunch of players with heavily upgraded aircraft flying the F-4 with mostly just PvE/Campaign upgrades, save for one MP missile capability upgrade, and was pretty regularly able to get much more maneuverable aircraft to overshoot by starting a turn and then dipping into my performance turn envelope, giving the plane a bit of pitch up, then cutting back into the turn with rudder into which ever way I was banking I was able to get so many planes who should’ve been able to stay on my tail to slip out in front.
Not enough for a kill, 'cause I just don’t have the upgrades to my missiles to secure one with any kind of reliability yet, but it was a neat thing to file away for a rainy day. Also should come in handy rounding up mission S-Ranks.
It helps that Macross is pretty obviously a parody of Space Battleship Yamato, except instead of taking a relic of World War 2 into space to fight aliens they took 80s Bubble Economy Japan into space to fight aliens.
Imagine if Mass Effect trilogy ended with teaching the Reapers and Geth about making out and the wonders of 80s pop music
Imagine how good that game would be
It would be way better than Shepard reaching across the aisle to work with the Space KKK to save the galaxy
Imagine if there was a single romance in Mass Effect as amazing as Max and Milia Jenius
Imagine if there was a romance subplot that started with a knife fight and ended with a marriage proposal
Unlike anime, Mass Effect isn’t stupid enough to be great nor smart enough to be good
Docking points from this role playing game for putting me in these clown ass Sonic shoes without my consent
I tried playing Lost Odyssey in xenia, it ran okay except for some audio problems, like the background noises would go silent after being in an area for a little bit then it’d just be your footsteps, so I held off on that. that was a pretty good opening though
played theatrhythm the entire plane ride. ive unlocked challenge mode for every game which THANK GOODNESS I ONLY GOT S RANKS AND LIKE A HANDFUL OF AS
i want this shit to get hard! im glad they’re trying to mix up how you press the button when the screen tells you to but rhythm games without an arcade gimmick that are just rows of symbols flying at you are the lowest form of rhythm game
AHH PEOPLE STARTED PLAYING KOTOR 2 WHILE I WAS IN THE SKY
last time i played i wasnt posting so i livetweeted it. i think its an alright thread!
let me know how you beat the wyrm that you have to kill twice. i cannot figure out how to get past it! faqs all give strategy for the first fight and are like GOOD LUCK WITH NOTHING in the second fight
what do you mean by an arcade gimmick?
like rock band has instruments, dance maniax has motion controls, ddr has foot buttons
good in spite of avellone, his writing is always a low point in those games
I can’t ever tell what parts are his writing vs other people’s writing
Go look at kreia or ulysses
lol I didn’t play any DLC after Dead Money
Honest Hearts is a cool homage to The Mission and is set in a legit ultra-beautiful part of the country (go check out Zion National Park before the Trump admin makes more of the Grand Staircase unprotected!!!), Old World Blues is kind of funny but the scaling and balance of the DLC makes it the absolute worst chore to play, and Lonesome Road is Chris Avellone’s Edgy Libertarian OC: The Game.
Yo did you play with the big fan patch thing that fixed the game & ending or or whatever I am not actually very familiar with this
It occurs to me I think I played Kotor like 3 or 4 times and I don’t think I’ve played Kotor 2 once
my sister is always Getting Mad at any mention of chris avellone, can’t even talk to her til she cools down. says him being an atheist libertarian dumbass man is one thing but it’s his outsized influence on every western rpg that’s unconscionable
no i have watched videos of what they added because i only play videogames on consoles
the whole thing seems super cool except for rhe fucking droid planet that was CUT. FOR. A. REASON.
you should play it and post about it
your sister seems cool
