I can just use diluted dr bronners I hope

I mean, that’s got to be one of its dozen uses, right?

soapy warm water is the standard I’ve stuck with, so I’m sure using dr bronners would work just fine (I’ve had problems with dr bronners leaving a residue though, so be careful)

got some Simple Green for minis, any non-solvent cleaner should be fine. as always, if you’re not sure, use it on a test bit of runner (and congratulate yourself on your resourceful nature in keeping them)

It’s cold as shit outside, so my kid and I built models. He built a 30 Minute Mission robot (bandai line of small custom robots that you can get a bunch of extra gear for to customize) that @Rudie sent him a while ago. It rules.

I worked on the Heavy Arms HG he got me for father’s day way back (winter is the time for Gundam around here):

AAnd I recently got myself this beauty to fight my 3.0 RX 78:

if he likes weapons and accessories (maybe to match your heavy arms’ arsenal) this is one of my fave accessory packs

I got a disgusting number of gundams in newtype’s sale

Including this L.Gaim AUG that has a big flat piece you bend to put in place, I don’t think I’ve seen that before

I am very drawn to this weird dude, I think all that metallic plastic needs at least a semi-gloss coat

I’m too lazy for a effort gunpla post right now, but I just finished my MG CHARS ZGOK which looks BEAUTIFUL on the shelf

but I fucked up SOMETHING in the left leg so one of the parts won’t click into place, it just loosely sits in the leg joint which means NO TOUCHIE OR IT BREAKS. I can take the whole thing apart and go back through the instructions some other time, but I really wanted to just straight build a kit tonight (I did paint the monoeye though. I never leave home without my neon pink monoeye marker). also the dry decals were just plain cruel. I’m gonna buy some third party waterslides off ebay when I get paid, and probably do a glossy topcoat after applying those but for now, DONE. PRETTY. DON’T TOUCH IT

I’ve been working slowly but surely to set up a gunpla workspace and IT’S FINALLY READY

I thought the wires to the under cabinet lighting had been cut and to fix them would require knocking holes in the wall but in an extremely pleasant surprise it was just the switch!

What better way to start than with a Z’GOK!!

I LOVE GRABBY GUYS

I’m so happy with my spot!! It feels really nice to be in here!

That setup is so hot, the Z’Gok is so hot, here’s my contribution to the Z’Gok club, it’s from a few years ago but it’s as hot as ever! Enjoy!!

When I can, I’ve been slowly working on the MG Char’s Zaku II and goddamn those hoses are a pain. It’s a really cool model though. Taking me forever.

I’ve been building a lot but not posting about it for some reason!

Today I finished this HG Qubelely Mk-II

The nicest build I’ve ever done! It looks great! I think I’ve gotten pretty good at straight builds, I want to spice it up but I’m not sure which way yet. I did start painting details on a few kits I need to get back to. I’m also interested in seam removal but the ventilation in here isn’t great…

I got a nano glass file (a raser) and wow! It does an amazing job at removing nubs! I would actually recommend getting one of these before godhands, they make perfectly removing a nub effortless so the nipper quality isn’t as important.

I also tried out a a couple of different topcoats and Mr. Hobby Mr. Super Smooth Clear is the winner! It looks noticeably better than the others I tried (tamiya and mr hobby premium)

edit: here’s a before topcoat picture
