right, it still fits into a perfect natural groove in my brain

I can see two hands, I accept it deadly, quiet, precise

who among us didn’t play through 90% of both Half-Lifes just alternating between the starting pistol and the shotgun instead of any other weapons

I feel like this person must play Redneck Rampage a whole lot differently than I do. Or at least on lower skill levels which is perfectly understandable.

Can this be done legitimately? I’ve never really heard of runs of Half-Life with self-imposed limitations.

It’s just how I play the games, I tend to forget about the other weapons because the pistol and shotgun are respectively so powerful, and they almost always have plentiful ammo available, unlike the other weapons.

Might screw around with that. I can see it being interesting in 2 since that one has some slight adventure game vibes as well.

I honestly never fuck with the magnum in hl2, it never seems worth the risk/reward, and you never have enough ammo. it’s good against the the poison headcrab zombies I guess.

but yeah the smg and pulse rifle are just kind of not as good as they were in hl1. something I realize on my last playthrough of hl2 was that the smg can be an effective weapon but you’re really expected to fire in bursts. still never feels as good as the pistol or shotgun.

the crossbow rules tho and I can’t imagine a hl2 playthrough without it

(I did attempt a gravity gun-only playthrough once and it was a nightmare but also kind of awesome)

the magnum and crossbow are by far my fav HL2 weapons

the pulse rifle is fantastic too ofc

my first playthrough of half life was the cursed ps2 port so the shotgun was the only gun i could reliably hit anything with

343 is doing gross troops-saluting Veteran’s Day promos again but Bungie chose a fine day to give out the trans pride emblem in D2 (today)

oh shit what do I have to do

It’s free, just enter the code at the link and you can find it in the “collections” menu on your character (F1 menu) under Flair → Emblems → General. It’s called “Be True.”

Unlock it using code ML3-FD4-ND9 on our code redemption site.

The code is unlimited use and unlimited time as far as I know. There are codes from 2017 that are still valid.

Terminator: Resistance Annihilation Line DLC is coming on December 10th!

Venture beyond the line of fire to complete an essential mission led by the hero of the Resistance, Kyle Reese!

ANNIHILATION LINE picks up mid-way through the main campaign story. The Resistance has just defeated their first Infiltrator, but for Jacob Rivers, there’s no time to rest up. Orders have come down from John Connor himself that he is to assist in the investigation of Northridge Outpost, a civilian settlement which has mysteriously gone silent.

Why did no-one from Northridge attempt to radio in? Is this the work of Skynet? And are the civilians still alive? To find answers, Rivers and a small team of Resistance soldiers led by Connor’s right-hand man Kyle Reese, must head into the most dangerous territory imaginable…the land beyond the Annihilation Line.

The DLC will be available to purchase digitally from Steam® and the PlayStation Store worldwide on December 10th. Those who already own Terminator: Resistance either physically or digitally on PlayStation®4 can upgrade to the PlayStation®5 version for free

So the Crysis 2 and 3 remakes for Switch don’t have the Free Radical developed multiplayer mode!? Why did I buy this?

ANOTHER CRYSIS 2 MP HEAD man that game’s multiplayer was great. love giving every player identical situational superpowers. you really saw a lot in someone’s style by how they used the standard suit functions, without it being too restrictive.

i didn’t play much of 3’s. 2’s MP was such a great time tho… miss it all the time

Exactly!!! It always felt like you had a nice array of options for how to play. I never got into any shooters in this vein except for these two, because hopping around and going invisible was too much fun.

3 had that great Predator-style Hunter mode, where one team was permanently invisible.
