So I haven’t really played a Cod since Blops nor interacted with it in any media environment so I watched the actual game part of that video and was like, oh. They’re still doing this shit.

Call of Duty campaigns have been bad for so long that every other big shooter has warped itself in imitation
try a recent Battlefield campaign and wonder if these people ever liked a shooter in the first place

There’s a lot to write about how Operator Culture has so infiltrated media masculinity that it has taken on a life of its own completely divorced from its original context, so powerfully in fact that it has turned around and influences the expectations of actual operators, who (christ almighty) are all younger than us and even more steeped in this stuff than we are, and seem to be committing war crimes at an unprecedented and accelerating rate

episode 8 of twin peaks s3 was the boomer version the story, the modern version is 9/11 caused a rift in time and space to open above new york and a floating kiefer sutherland head emerged to eventually someday make it’s way inside eagle scout ideal dale cooper

i played the original with some folks a few months ago and god that game rules, if something is organized i’ll certainly buy this game
it only took four years but we have our first proper daggerslike. it’s a lot busier visually than devil daggers which is giving me a bit of trouble after dumping 30-ish hours into it over the years. the games title feels like it’s straight up a Fictional Game from a television show so it gets extra points from me for that.
does anyone know what the devil daggers people are even up to these days?
