Oh whoops I was talking about the contrast issues, I have no fucking clue what Ram is doing half the time, those swords are very big!!
Once they get fuckin lobbies working Iāll arrange a night for PC players to battleā¦
iāll come watch this for sure
can someone explain how iām supposed to re-bind controller buttons, itās all just showing me keyboard stuff
I know the one time I hit Enter instead of a controller button the game didnāt let me use a controller but if thatās not the issue there should be an option in General Settings or chance what inputs it shows
didnāt work, every time i go to the buttonchange screen and throw an input in, nothing
windows does NOT handle this well btw, at least the last time i checked (which was a few years ago).
would suggest windows key + p and turning one of them off while playing a game or setting them to the same refresh rate when theyāre both on (windows will remember separate refresh rates for different combinations of monitors).
ok I am just getting animed to fucking death now. every character has a flowchart high low pressure that appears to have zero holes in it. the best I can do is guess right and get a jab. guess wrong, die. guess right, get no reward. I donāt get it.
reads like anime fightman as usual to me i.e. basically not for olds
though i didnāt have the genetics for this when younger either
clawed my way back to 9f, though. thereās a really sharp skill cliff right around there between people who know what they are doing and people who are just using gimmicks to cover their skill and knowledge gaps. I win probably 70% of the time against the later and 15% of the time against the former. gonna take a lot of lab work to chip away at that, but for now I think I just want to grind games to build some level of execution.
Starting games from Steam Big Picture mode tends to make the controller more āprimaryā, thatās another thing to try
And yeah I noticed the variance in how good my opponent feels like they are on a given floor. It could be just hiccups before everyoneās ranking settles but I feel there is a rock-paper-scissors type of thing going on too, less with character matchups than with go-to gimmicks/gameplans countering others.
wow i legitimately despise axl low. he is such a tremendous dickhead to fight.
Iām perversely enjoying what I assume are horrible matchups for Potemkin (Axl, I-No). Figuring out how to close the distance and win is the most invigorated Iāve been in a while.
I have yet to face a single axl (or Faust). Itās kind of depressing
disc off of throw has a gap that you can jump out of before it becomes active. if you have a reversal with full invuln it will work. her vortex is terrifying but it isnāt perfect. if you can bait out her burst and catch her she will probably die
wait what the hell why did it edit this post. help me
Honestly probably one of the greatest highs is beating a ābadā matchup in an FG. Whenever I run into someone that my character is meant to be bad against it really lights a fire under my ass. Pot is an extreme example of this due to how good potemkin bustering axl into oblivion feels
It took until like, floor 10 until I fought a Sol that was actually doing the 5s oppression thing, Iāve seen a few rams and mays of varying quality from 7 up but not a single zato. I guess all the Zato players live in heaven?
They scare people off Zato being the only character with 1/5 stars for difficulty and his archetype is ātechnicalā, but I dunno I tried it and it didnāt seem like I had to be particularly technical to do OK. I quickly started to win some matches by spamming Eddie attacks and it all seemed far more intimidating to my opponent than to myself.
Nagoriyuki meanwhile is one that I had a much harder time with when I dabbled with him. OK so I can hardly move and donāt have as much health as Potemkin so I have to be super tactical and aware of my opponent to make use of my tools. Also if I screw up my meter management I basically self-combust. For some reason this is a 2/5
I ran a long set against a Zato in a park the other day. It was a lot of fun and I mostly won so Iāll just chalk that up to my incredible skill and not luck, or the other player not having a firm grasp on the character yet.
The higher up the tower you get the more likely you are to run into people playing the weirdos. I got blowed up bad by a Faust last night. It was cool, kinda. I hated losing but I admired that jerkās ability to throw lotsa dumb shit before I could hit him
I donāt even know what potās bad matchups are yet. like, I assume axl is bad. beyond that I donāt really know. I was getting smashed by a succession of millias yesterday, but they were also the best players I was playing, so idk
