Guilty Gear Strive is the best fighting game I've ever played

Wow, good tip, I didn’t know about that. Yeah, I don’t backdash, like at all in any situation, sounds like I need to change that.

Finally justice

Half circle inputs with Goldlewis are a no for me but tbh I think the character is a little underwhelming. The input stuff is cool but has a lot less alien than I need in my life. Good overall design though.

Doing all the Behemoth Typhoon shit is fun but almost all his normals feel like garbage, I’m not sure if his other specials are good at all, and his size is a real liability.

Maybe someone will find some good tech for him but right now he feels very not good and that’s a shame, was nice to see a FG character with my body type.

Also unrelated to that Big Boy: learning wakeup super is very valuable, I am always getting mad at Mays who do that shit, I also get mad when other Nagos have it down, it will probably pay off in the end.

you hit me with the wakeup super so many times last time we played. as pot, I just want to grab the people and put them on my shoulders. I’m trying to help you off the ground, it’s fun, everyone wins

This extremely brief tutorial just showed up.

I agree with sajam in that I think F.S is pretty good, and 2k is pretty good too but his jabs are so fucking bad. 6HS is a meme its so slow. character seems to pretty much revolve around doing behemoth typhoons. Especially the two forward to back ones and the overhead/low ones. I kinda like how wrt his air moves how S is above you and HS is below you.

I think the gatling gun is pretty much a joke, but the drone seems good when i can actually get it out without getting hit.

Honestly i love playing him when i’m wallbouncing people into massive damage but hate it when i have to like, play neutral or defense, even more so than other characters.

Apparently I get this as part of my 360 Perfect Dark port/Solitaire subscription now.

It’s pretty rad. I enjoyed dressing up my voxel boy and putting a Faust bag on his head. Much like my childhood no one wants to play me in the lobby.

I’ve also been playing this on gamepass, more than I expected when I downloaded it. I’ve never got far into learning a fighting game, but this one’s really got it’s teeth in me.

Mostly played online and worked my way to 6th floor, came close to 7th but have since been bouncing between 5 and 6. I’m trying to learn from my defeats rather than get frustrated, which can be difficult. Defense is my issue, I can do damage, but tend to be very vulnerable to getting stuck on the end of big combos. Although I’m also trying to expand my combo range so I don’t end up too predictable after a few rounds.

I saw a youtube video suggesting to do rounds against the cpu on maniac difficulty, trying only to not die. It’s been helpful, but difficult to then apply in an actual match.

But the game is great, feels rewarding as a less experienced fighting game player

I am playing this and I made Andrew buy it. I’ve never played this kind of fighting game before except SF2 on the SNES where I just hopped around with Chun Li.
