I am a little wary of how hard this movie is aping the look of guardians of the galaxy, despite not being directed by Gunn. Haven’t seen the director’s other movies (Cruella, one of the Gamestop stock movies), but he looks like he’s probably a good fit for a cape movie.

It was honestly impressive Loki Season 2 took the premise of ideological battles and time bullshit and decided actually this is about Found Family and how much we all love the characters of Loki The Television Show, you love them right and want to protect them.
and then once that wears off actually we do have to do the one thing they’ve been talking about I guess. Anyways here are all the characters we’ve met in Loki The TV Show that you love. Except for the one character who is murdered during this montage while the whimsy cozy music plays.

the only scene from the punisher I’ve seen is Jon chewing up the death squad cops for being dumb as shit losers after they have to beat him into submission because his caveman style howls of rage are too powerful. I enjoy that his Frank Castle is partially informed by that movie where he plays a penitent Catholic who has to protect a rock from other guys.

Will be interesting to see if they are committed to this being a horror or if it will try to be a more accessible light-thriller type of movie. And also if it’s a standalone story, or if it’ll be written so he can be pulled into cross-over movies if they want to in the future.
saw that Punisher One Last Kill and it’s mostly just one huge firefight. There’s a good bit that feels like Jon stepping out of character to convey that he personally is sick of racists embracing the punisher. There’s a good sequence of him feeling really lonely and suicidal. He’s done with being the punisher but he’s back in costume for the finale. There’s not a lot besides a huge gunfight, but it’s a good one.
