I think it would be funny if one of these multiverse things referenced the Aquaman movie produced within the world of the TV show Entourage
damn they put like half a dozen not spidermans in this one. i genuinely cannot believe that they keep making these. the more that come out the funnier it gets.
this is definitely how theyâre going to justify a movie about spencer smythe and his spider-slayer robots
itâs very funny to me that for the last year even the most mainstream media critic type websites keep publishing giant articles about how oversaturated disney has made both star wars and marvel and nevertheless they keep going forward with new unbelievably marginal TV shows and miniseries about characters that I, someone who actually used to buy floppies every week, have never heard of and could not possibly care about
i seriously have no fucking idea why they decided that the masses are dying for a madame web movie
me
I was
except I wanted the old lady madame webb who had silly shades and a spider shaped throne. I only ever saw her in small bits of pieces I caught of that story arc in the Spider-Man tv show I never knew what her deal was
Is there some use-it-or-lose-it clause to Sonyâs ownership of Spider-Manâs film rights? Thereâs gotta be, right?
I canât fathom why else they keep doing all these Spider-Man adjacent movies without Spider-Man, otherwise.
Yeah there actually was, though Iâm not sure how theyâve changed things in modern years. I think they came to some agreement with Marvel post-Endgame on how their relationship will work going forward (I think itâs broadly âSpider-Man will be in MCU and Marvel can by and large be the studio that makes the Spider-Man movies, but Sony can do what they want with other Spiderman universe charactersâ), but I donât know what happened to that particular clause.
One thing Iâll give the trailer is that the editing gestures at making the time visions completely disorienting, and I donât know that the movie itself will be like that but I think making time vision completely annoying to experience could be a nice spin.
So the bad guyâs costume doesnât stand out at all. You canât make out any of the details and it just looks like heâs in a regular black burger suit with goggles.
just wanted to say before watching that trailer i was like man what spiderperson could they bring back who has a smaller fanbase, ezekiel from the j michael straczynski run? they got me baby!! they saw me coming
also i was thinking it would be funny if they brought back ben reilly just for the sake of avoiding the sony ownership dispute and then was like damn isnt it crazy that each of these characters already has their own likeness workaround loophole version even though they were all invented long before it would have mattered⌠is this the Big Two version of the Gaia Hypothesis
they should make the next spider-man movie a heroic bloodshed movie about the assassin spider-man from what if: spider-man vs wolverine
they should make a movie about a spider who is a man
but at that point, weâll be rooting for the robots!
depending when you bought would be the biggest issue. Many of these characters werenât really around until the second Spider-verse. Also Ezekiel isnât that, at all. IDK wtf, they could have used Kain and put a handprint on the spider-mask to make it a little less corny somehow?
even if that were the case thereâs easier pulls. Do a Rhino movie, a Spider-Man 2099 film, hell find a narrative around Jameson that would actually make an interesting movie. What theyâre doing is just bizarre. As someone whoâs read more âotherâ Spider-Man stuff than people who claim to be Spider-Man experts online (I swear that isnât bragging, I just know it to be true, and itâs weirdly relevant all of a sudden?) what theyâre pulling, how theyâre pulling it, and where theyâre focusing is just deeply flawed. Also the fact they keep getting these generic looking pretty white people to play everything is so weird, LEAN INTO DIVERSITY, dear lord and get some good actors and creators with it.
Thatâs Ezekiel in name only.
Nothing about Ezekiel works with what they showed.
Sooner rather than later you just know theyâre going to do a Venom movie about Knull.
The Kraven movie looks good he bites off a guys nose or ear or something in the trailer
Whatâs the rights deal with Miles? Are they afraid of oversaturating with Miles material when the movie series is still going? Or is production on these series slow enough that Miles content hasnât exploded yet?
