i remember in thte archie sonic comics (when i was reading them in the early 00s, at least), whenever anyone said “sonic the hedgehog”, the whole logo would appear in their speech bubble instead of just the words. so me and my friends decided they must be saying his name in the style of a cheesy american tv voiceover

The more de-staturated CG, more boring costumes, and use of a cover rather than the actual retro song makes this look like it’s probably not even that great of a successor to the previous movies.

You know it’s funny, my older sister gave me her Spacehog CD so this is incredibly accurate and it’s also the highlight of the trailer for me (mostly because I’m always surprised to see them bubble back up)

That was the saving grace of Voyager. Out in the Delta Quadrant, they didn’t get the memo to switch to the First Contact-style black and grey uniforms.

They never did explain that beyond ‘uniforms can’t be replicated’, which makes a sense. But I suspect they didn’t just to make sure Nelix couldn’t get a uniform. A decision I support.

They literally were out of communication and in the delta quadrant before the uniform switch, DS9 didn’t even switch for like another three years. and even after they started talking to the alpha quadrant in like season 6 or 7 or whatever it doesnt make sense for them to replicate a new set of uniforms for the crew (half of which arent even starfleet) when everyones always bitching about rationing on the show. These mfs can’t even run the holodeck for more than like 30 mins at a time unless you happen to be the captain and have an Irish sex fantasy program you need to keep running 24/7, let alone make new clothes without permission. They all started wearing them when they got home though, Janeway is wearing the new uniform in nemesis. This is actually one of the few things about Voyager that makes any sense…
