Decided to watch Black Widow.
Not really sure why, I don’t generally find myself all that interested in Marvel films.
Some of the effects were okay, I guess?
Kinda weird ScarJo’s one big fight scene is her briefly kicking the shit out of a bunch of brown-skinned kids, with the fight ending when her blond haired sister dressed in white runs in to end the mind control with the, uh, gas medicine bomb that does that. Right before the bomb detonates there’s a big circular shot of all the kids surrounding her and looking super pissed and about to mob her.
I’m pretty sure I won’t remember most of it three days from now.

high vibrance makes me think of like the way Stranger Things looks. even if i tune it down in photoshop there’s a distinctness to the different objects in the frame that stands out to me here
maybe you could do it with some new AI content awareness thing though

And the set decoration on that staircase is leaning into the rusty red and the steely blue
There are visually striking moments peppered throughout Black Widow, between Uncharted levels.

yeah i feel like the latest round of marvel things keeps it fresh with just enough interesting-seeming elements to draw in people who would otherwise be just a bit above it all
