Natlie Portman is okay but she absolutely isn’t the sort that I’d expect to pull off “bombastic goddess of thunder.” I don’t know if it’s the script or her acting that’s to blame for how flat she came off in Thor 1 and 2. Probably both.

Yeah it seems at odds with a few things. Her presence in MCU stuff altogether always felt off. Between her own attitude/statements toward the work, general filmography, and really a frame that doesn’t exclude but still seems far from being bulked up to appear Thor-ish in any sense, I guess it’ll be interesting to see her plugged in.
