Impressions of Nine Sols so far:
- The presentation is just as nice as I’d hoped.
- Seemed like they were doing something other than a horror game this time. No, it’s another horror game. (Not a bad thing.)
- After reaching the first boss, I see that I’m going to have to switch from normal mode to “story” mode. Video games that require timing aren’t my thing and this is too unforgiving. I’m sure that, as with Sekiro, everyone will say that it’s a great experience once you “get it” and can perform parries or whatever but that isn’t happening. (I hope that mode doesn’t remove all danger whatsoever, though, the way SOMA was ruined by its “safe” mode.)
