I gave up after getting him down to like two hits with four heals left and blowing it on attempt number 40 something
The trick for Orphan of Kos second phase is to panic
As someone who does this kind of thing for a living now this is the kind of thing that keeps me up at night. Scary thing is, I can actually kind of envision the series of steps that led to that line ending up in the game, and the ways in which it probably seemed fine/like a good idea to everyone involved at each step of the process. (You’ve actually kind of made me want to go back and check out XIII now, for what it’s worth.)
been trying to pass a certain iidx song for a month or so, finally did it today! so stoked especially because i’ve been stuck on a wall i’m having trouble breaking through
(this is not me this is just some random dork)
I’m pretty sure at that point you’re allowed to just play whatever complex instrument you want in real life.
Oh nice! I wish I could still play IIDX but it makes my RSI infinitely worse so I’ve had to mostly give it up……
if only ;o;
that rly sucks :< i’m sorry to hear that. i’ve heard of a couple people having to retire due to rsi or carpal tunnel so i try to be very careful about that stuff when i play and hopefully i can dodge that bullet. how good did you get before you stopped?
On the verge of clearing 11s.
i’m just about there! i’ll push through for the both of us.
Analogue a Hate Story was pretty good.
As an adult it’s getting harder to care about not cheating for the principle of a thing. I got to the final boss of Momodora II and she was doing the same Phantom Ganon Tennis pattern as the previous game, and I just don’t have the time to put up with that. I cranked up JoyToKey so I was attacking 30 times a second and, uh, still lost a few times. It gets fast, that tennis match.
I finally picked up DESTINY because it was $10. It sounded like Borderlands without a sense of humour to me, which is… pretty spot on. Except it’s actually enjoyable to play because the gun play is raaaadddddd.
I’ve only just gotten to the moon. I like how I just drop into the world and other people will run up to me and be all LET’S BE FRIENDS then we go off on an adventure together. I also like how earth feels like STALKER bungie style.
There seems to be a lack of good set pieces so far, though, making it not quite as exciting as Halo. There is also way too much dicking around menus, especially when you first start. The game also lacks personality, with the city area being so empty of life. Enemies also always respawn in the same places, with the same types, and there is a lot of cut and pasting of areas. Oh and the combat areas aren’t as good as the ones in Halo. Also there is card collecting?? Doesn’t help me take the world seriously. Also the story is boring.
Basically, I’m enjoying this game so far but it’s not doing a good enough job of making me forget I’m inside a skinner box, and I don’t think it will hold my interest for too long. Glad I paid $10 for it. Really, I want Skyrim + Halo. That would be the shit.
please tell me you didn’t buy just the base game
If they didn’t bother putting enough to interest me in the base game, they can get STUFFED.
I edited this post because it was too crass before.
okay, good, you’re safe.
ive been stuck disarming bombs in this fucking cave getting nazi rockets in the face for about a week so ya im about ready to cheat, myself.
omg i just did my first real raid in destiny and it just dragged on forever and was soooo tedious, I can only imagine how much worse it would have been if I didn’t have a level 40 dude with me (plus another person my own level). I actually wanted to like this game, but I suspected I wouldn’t and it looks like it’s going in that direction. This genre just isn’t my bag, even when they have competent gun play.
Also I kept getting phoned and I can’t pause the darn game.
the real raids are actually very different than what you did, which I think was probably a strike, and I want to say they’re pretty compelling but I actually have no idea if a new person doing a raid for the first time now would have anything even remotely like the experience I had doing any of the raids ever and I don’t know if I even know how to think about this game anymore
ah yes it was a strike, it was certainly the first major STRIKE against this game!!
I still haven’t even done the Raid from the Taken King or whatever,
