I feel like the heart of the tiger from wing commander when I play cod. my direct participation determines the outcome of the war. if I’m hanging back and leveling up some sniper rifle and not actively doing the objectives we always lose
Microsoft Blizzard Activision is gonna warp the carrier away and leave you stranded in the dead of space, Commander Blair
I definitely would of stayed behind to kill prince thrakhath
i salute you for your service in the dark hell of public multiplayer lobbies
I did not play any of the games from the Google Play Games Beta on my laptop because they all have some issue with the visuals flickering like a dying flourescent lightbulb. Graphics card incompatibility? Dunno, don’t care.
I just uninstalled them all and deleted the launcher and freed up some space on my computer and in my brain.
Five stars!
this is the correct choice in dealing with phone games
Nox Archaist (Apple II)
Playing in the microM8 Apple II emulator.
This is modern game that runs on an Apple II! It’s an RPG, supposedly similar to Ultima V but I’ve never played an Ultima so I couldn’t swear to that.
Kept wasting my torches by accidentally hitting “I” for Ignite instead “O” for “Open.” : P
Oh jeez I didn’t take a cue and type NAME or JOB at a pirate on the boat. : P
I figure I’m gonna get stuck at some point 'cause like “help” to prompt the Knight Paragon, prompt words used from one person’s text to prompt another are NOT capitalized, so eh you just have to hope you type the right word at them? I dunno that part just scares me.
OH there was a brown/white twitching thing next to the road north of the mill and surrounded by banditos was probably a certain town where the king wanted me to visit his old friend about his bow. :"P
NPCs follow daily schedules around the areas so you may have to go look for them at different spots at different times of day.
Today in sword and fairy 7 I swear I just picked up an item called “Not drunk” it wasn’t even capitalized…I cannot find it in my inventory anywhere so I assume it is a programmer’s placeholder that the translator still decided to translate…
I can see the arc of my interest waning with Pokémon Sleep. Levelling Pokémon requires an absurd amount of resources, but unlike Pikmin Bloom or Pokémon Go you don’t have to do as much regular fussing with the actual app to maximise what you’re doing on it. Then the issue is you not really doing much of anything at all. I’m not sure it’s really improving my sleep but it is at least making me more conscious of sleep issues I am having. My average sleep duration is 6h41m.
Played more Master Detective Archives and can’t tell if the sidequests are excellent or stupid. You just walk and talk around a hub but they always take you back to the questgiver upon completion. There’s no real mechanical involvement since the game is just talking to people outside of the elaborate mystery dungeons. So they’re both low effort but also exist for no reason. They do give you the equivalent of Detective XP for unlocking skills in the mystery dungeons but the skills are such marginal conveniences you might as well just do the main story. Still they are easy, and the world and music are pleasant enough to vibe with. Games like this make me wonder what I’m doing with my life.
This sounds vaguely familiar…
Looking it up, i am now remembering having a whole bunch of what i think are stat boost drink items in my inventory that you apparently cannot use at all on console because i guess they forgot to program in a way to do so with a controller
Trying out PoPoLoCrois (ps1) and so far it has sunny rpg feels. I love the cartoony art and the battle system is pretty straight foreward, fast and grid based. The villian is totally dr robotnick.
played the english localization of sotsugyou 2, only known as graduation. unfortunately first thing that happens is the principal of the school doing some really gross winking and nudging about getting to teach a bunch of young girls which is actually lower than i expected. on the bright side (?) the localization is insane, tho i can barely tell what anyone says and there are no subtitles.
was kinda hoping for something with insane events and incredible visuals like princess maker 2, but didn’t get to anything like that and the game looks a lot duller than the older editions of the series do. i don’t think i care anymore
like, a problem here vs princess maker 2 is that you don’t have cute and incredibly involved animations to display your scheduled activities. it’s kind of a must if i’m supposed to go this long without something happening.
for all the true graduation murderheads
hey can I sell you on a game
you can play it on your phone
Removing my Sound card is apparently all I needed to do in order to play Vangers correctly. It had a weird audio shuddering issue I could never trace. But also I can use my xbox one controllers again, since I thought that was the reason my computer was crashing.
vangers vangers vangers!
i’ll be curious if you can understand that game better than i did. it looks amazing but i got very lost in the sauce
when I played it with @Tegiminis they were like “oh yeah you got to get the grub for the annual grub race” or whatnot and having to read the long introduction text because it was important to the game.
it’s true, the eleection
vangers is a game where you gotta click on and read everything. my first time playing i always asked every character all the questions the dialogue would let me. they even change their answers when they trust you more (ie: you’ve done the map mechanic and trading enough), and some answers are important mechanically. fascinating stuff.
there’s guides if it’s hard to get into that are pretty good without spoiling what makes the game fun. but going in blind and fully invested is a wonderful way to experience vangers.
