how does it compare to sentinel returns
Tonight I finally realized why the name āMoonriseā appeared everywhere on my 3DS games: Itās the name of my 3DS! I named it that because my previous one was named Sundown. Iām stupid.
A billion times better.
Sentinel Returns has an awesome cover, interesting art direction and a nice throwaway soundtrack that John Carpenter busted out on a sunday afternoon.
Ultimately, the original is better due to there being 10,000 levels and the level layouts are more challenging. I think the original graphics suit the game more, followed by the variously arranged (and minimal) jingles that play depending on what mechanic you use.
Atari ST is the smoothest version, has a better colour palette and adds a 180 swivel mechanic that allows for faster gameplay.
I removed some clumps of dust off my PCās CPUās heat sink and it now runs at ~40C instead of 67C. I also replaced the 3TB HDD I use for archiving because when I bought it all the reviews said it will die on the third year and itās almost been 3 years.
I am a smart and diligent PC user.
Last night I ground a bunch of money out of mini-bosses in P5 while watching the most garbage anime
These two things complemented each other well
Nearly finished with Zelda: Spirit Tracks. It kinda blows! Zelda has the best personality of any assistant, though.
i played some more of Dragon Age: Inquisition and I really like this game.
I played a little bit of DAI the other day as well. I like exploding arrow in that game. Feels good every time that thing explodes. I have yet to do the Trespasser dlc.
it gets pretty horrendous not long after you get the second hub
or rather, it doesnāt get much worse, it just reveals that itās even more cynical than it appeared to be and thereās nothing else there
iām like 5hrs in right now and the game was Ā£5 or something on sale. iām glad that iām not really invested in any way so that i can just stop playing when it starts to get too dry.
i have no idea whatās going on in the story and the combat is pretty bad but something about the mid sized scale of this game rather than a full sprawling totally open world just makes it really satisfying to play.
yeah, I felt the same way, thatās why I replayed the first 5-7 hours like three times, and kept thinking that if I were sufficiently into the systems and the characters by then I could deal with the tedious power fantasy it devolves into
if you have to play it just donāt play it as a melee character. itās such a miserable slog. I think thereās a magic class that gets a lightsaber
Iāve been in a Kirby mood
I played a bit of Kirbyās Pinball Land, which is my second favorite pinball game, behind Pokemon Pinball (the original R/B version for Game Boy)
Look how cute it is! Itās got chickens! You canāt get mad at chickens!
Also, the title theme is one of my favorite chiptunes of all time
On that note, Pokemon Pinball has a fantastic jazzy chiptune soundtrack
oh geez i spent wayyyy too much time w kirby pinball in the olden days, but totally forgot about the game until now. that theme music brings back memories, as do the chickens.
Iāve mostly been playing mobile games recently because my life is a lie.
I really recommend The Room 1-3 (that is, there are three games). They are very pretty and feature a very intricate, steampunkish aesthetic, with lots of clockwork mechanisms with little switches and dials and gears and keys to play with tactilely on the touchscreen. Mechanically they are interesting because in a single series you can see the spectrum from Room Escape <ā> Mystalike. The plot ramps up nicely, though it is derivative. Theyāre never very hard, but thatās ok. The third game is pretty much a full fledged Myst clone, right down to having various endings that depend on how much you pay attention to clues in the hub area.
What kind of phone do you have? You ever play Gadget: Invention, Travel, & Adventure?
I was able to get enough enjoyment out of Spirit Tracks, but it was by basically making the game as linear as humanly possible. Doing side stuff required more of the train andā¦ no.
Android. I just looked on the Play Store and couldnāt find that so I assume itās ios.
Yeah, sorry. I guess that version is actually Gadget: Past as Future, but itās a weird Japanese adventure game from 1993 that inexplicably got re-released on iOS.
