Dragon’s Curse is #500 on my list of 501 Games of All times, which is a place of honor. It’s by far the best of the Wonder Boy games if you ask me and the remake is pretty ideal. Like I usually loathe the IT’S AN INTERACTIVE CARTOON style but the game feels great so it’s no big thing.
Neither of the available soundtracks are as good as the PC Engine version though. 
(wait the game doesn’t have the PCE soundtrack right)
The new levels are kinda bullshit but they’re easily avoided. If you can tolerate/have a soft spot for old timey side scrolling action RPGs I think it might be the peak of the genre.
