what? the manual literally explains how boosting works
don’t you people read manuals?
what? the manual literally explains how boosting works
don’t you people read manuals?
Reading manuals is the biggest barrier to playing games made before the ps2 era
I rented Aero Gauge and the fake ass back of the box “please don’t sue us” instructions Blockbuster corporate wrote up tells you how to boost
what is going on at Big Game Journalism
what’s next, am I going to be told about Tube Slider slander
Tube Slider is so good that Nintendo got the devs to make two F-Zero games and they still give them work
Reviewers don’t get manuals and packaging and stuff they just get sent garbage bags full of loose unlabelled cartridges, it’s to ensure they review the game purely and are not swayed by trifling cosmetic distractions
Imagine entering the North American publishing market and you release Tube Slider and Culdcept and go out of business
Imagine going out on the top
Between Earth Defence Force 6 and Soul Hackers 2 I’m calling the next 24 hours The Day Of The Gamer (will report back)
Got my blood pressure up thanks to fortnite.
we had a loose kart so, uh, no we didn’t have those instructions
I tried the Sinking City. I really should have tried the Sherlock Holmes games instead. I’m beating myself over choosing the game with worthless combat + open world + crafting + skill trees over the ones by the same developer that don’t have the obligatory garbage needed for a 2015 AAA game
Doesn’t help that I’m playing Ys Origin at the same time and it takes about as much time to get to the other side of the city in the Sinking City than it takes to explore 5 floors, level up 4 times and beat 2 bosses in Ys Origin
For a game that’s all vibes in a flooded sinking city, the flooding and sinking of the city are very artificial. I am constantly thinking about this
The distribution of flooded and non-flooded areas feels like it was handled by an open world game designer that never looked at a flood map and wanted the flooded areas to be everywhere but not too big.
This is very unrealistic? It’d have felt a lot more natural to have either the sides next to the sea be flooded, or maybe the entire middle of the city flooded with the sides spared, depending on the topology of the city.
A bigger issue is that… the flooded parts of the city seemingly sank straight down ~3-4 meters, while the non-flooded have been left untouched, with no in-between, and every sank building still stands perfectly straight! Also wait, shouldn’t buildings between sunk and non-sunk areas share walls? Do none of the buildings in this city share walls? Wtf
It’s either this OR the whole city is sinking, but since the flooded areas are VERY low compared to the others, the original topology of the city was basically rollercoaster-like with extremely steep slopes everywhere. This makes even less sense, I’m sorry
I can’t get over this
oh, you’re not on trial here
if you just could consider it a different kind of flood water, like an eldritch flood water or something…
i unlocked all the free dragonball z stuff in fortnite lol
any time someone wistfully wishes for the return of web 1.0 or whatever bullshit, I am just transported back to refreshing the update page on the unreleased Bid For Power mod’s website every day for seemingly years? hoping for some tiny god damned drip of new Gokus info to sustain me
God this was so, sooo good. I played this over LAN at a friend’s house and it was some of the best fun I had playing a versus game in my whole life
800 of it was me
okay, fine, more like one hundred,
Started Danganronpa 2: Goodbye Despair and I’m immediately getting MGS2 vibes from it. The main cast just feels too similar like it’s going to be some sort of retread of the first game but it’s all simulation or clones or alien abductions or some nonsense. Everyone is horrible and I’m hooked.
Also realised I have more We Are OFK waiting for me
seems like the press also only got 2 episodes, was listening to waypoint and Patrick Klepeck played it recently and only had access to the first 2 episodes. He seemed to have the same general negative reaction to I did to the writing/setting/etc.
