I will never stop.
I mean I had already stopped but then you told me to stop now look at what Iām doing.
To establish your comradely rapport with Partner Character the dialog is all about how youāre this ancient and well-seasoned side of beef who trained her but then they have to have Opening Mission Dynamic For New Player so you spend the whole mission following her lead and she tells you what gun to get out and when to take cover and how to reload like itās Training Day Iām waiting for the cut scene where she has me smoke pcp out of a v. ornately engraved shotgun barrel.
for some reason I thought for sure you had already played this game on account of itās dong representation
heās not
I was worried because I ended the last level with almost no ammo then after a bridging scene they dumped me into this level with still almost no ammo just a big old numeric NO AMMO BUDDY down in the corner of my screen and I wasnāt finding any ammo as I traversed the Tension Building Section but fortunately the moment the New Enemy Type arrived my ammo supply was topped off from nowhere so phew
These are the best posts, donāt ever stop.
Her Story is great!
I hope the puzzle-game nerds of the forum are playing Mirror Drop. Really special game that does some fucked up phenomenological trickery.
Iāve never heard of it! Looks pretty trippy. Do the puzzles follow consistent rules that can be reasoned about, or does it fall closer to the guess-and-check side of the spectrum?
It obscures its rules but theyāre understood in the first couple minutes, or through a little bit of toying with a stageās custom interpretation. Most of the challenge comes in parsing the visual landscape, moving back and forth to build your sense of the space youāre in.
If you like being visually confused, or want a higher-fidelity version of Yayoi Kusamaās infinity mirrors (a probable inspiration) itās vital. And criminally overlooked! I went straight to his booth at PAX to gush but was the first person heās met whoās played the game.
Echoing BA, the challenge is parsing the visual landscape. The environments and their properties are well-designed; itās deeper than a gimmick. Bennett also is a fan and heās tougher on puzzle games than I am.
splatoon, again
still amazing
Weāre infiltrating The Very Poor and Bad Part of Town Where All The Rebels Are, INCOGNITO. This means wearing our usual fine clothes except without the heraldry that explicitly says Knights of the Round Table. Iām sure the people who are organized specifically against the governing body weāve apparently been personally on for hundreds (hundreds) of years, and who are currently giving speeches against us in the streets we pass through wonāt see through this cunning disguise.
oh shit weāre made!
seek refuge in a brothel go around a wide corner turning the camera see a Lady of the Night pop into existence next to the inside wall the split-second before everything lurches into a brief cut scene
ELOā LOVE!
I turned her down politely but forcefully.
Me and Outrageous French Accent make as if to pay for sexual congress so as to avoid our pursuers but then instead of following the ladies wherever they lead us then going from there we pop into a random side door on the way which results in the women hammering on the door to come out oh and thereās a couple in here for some serious AAA gaming thrusting for serious adults who play serious gamesā¦ for adults.
ELOā LOVE!
We were forced to check our guns at the door. Thrustman still has his? Anyway we took his guns.
Was I supposed to see his dick? I only noticed his butt.
They did not ask for the giant knives the size of grown mensā forearms that are strapped to our backs at the door.
I looked up an image of GALAHADāS BLADE and there are specific reasons why it looks like it was made using modern machinery especially the fine detail of the grind lines on the bevels they put in so much work to make it look authentically inauthentic to anyone who knows what to look for???
I passed on Mirror Drop initially as it gave me heavy Antichamber vibes (Antichamber isnāt a very good game), but if people here are convinced of its worth Iāll toss it back on my wish list.
between this and Infernium, big year for technically impressive experimental first person solo dev projects recommended by Bennett
(Iāve been planning to spend more time with both of them but theyāre both doing things that like, werenāt possible for small teams until recently, which is very cool to me)
I played a few minutes of Mirror Drop and sorta didnāt care for it
