i really like that character art
I think its definitely worth it to see the end game sequence of DMC1 after making it past some very questionable decisions. Those last 10 minutes are very “Peak VideoGames” moments.
everytime a new call of duty comes out it breaks nvidia’s ability to take screenshots otherwise I’d be posting pictures of bill clinton for you all right now
he looks so fucked up
will you be able to play as slick willey in multiplayer
It’s so funny how much attention they call to it. The guy you’re at the rally to photograph stands right next to him and the scene drags on forever.
Fun level though. Treyarch has the level design juice I think. Mostly by constantly seeking novelty.
I still don’t get why they were like it’s 1991!!! but then all the fucking guns are from the late 90s and have modern optics. it doesn’t look like the 90s at all. why bother making these dumb fucking games if you can’t even appeal to your fanbase that jacks off to guns & ammo tacticool ads from the 90s anyway. like at least put effort into your historical revisionism for christ’s sake.
Cod is a multiplayer game and the base has highly refined expectations about the availability and effect of the spectrum of weapon mods etc. All else bows to feeding that beast. Remember the WW1 Battlefield game where the guns all had like superprototype fantasy red dots lol
Almost every single gun in battlefield 1 was produced in amounts less than 50.
Anyway there were still optics available in 1991 like red dot sights existed! The very famous Aimpoint 3000 was from 1989!! It’s just a bunch of bullshit on their part!!!
there’s a little caesars in this mission
I didn’t realize bill clinton was having his gala thing right on top of the cia black site prison I thought we’d be getting the guy’s retinal scan and going somewhere else
I remember being super disappointed when I got one of the BLOPS to play the zombie mode that had two missions, one set in ancient Rome and the other in a swanky cruise party in the early 1900s, and both had you using modern day assault rifles with ugly glowing purple/green paint effects (PACK-A-PUNCH).
I almost bought BLOPS this year because of the funky diving and third person mode, but the open beta of the MP ended up being super boring due to bad respawns (I literally stood in front of a wall and kept mowing down people who were respawning on that wall).
I saw someone claim that the bad respawns are an intentional data-driven decision, because the data is so skewed by everyone who grinds XP on bad maps like Shipment 24/7
I’m not sure I buy it but it would be really funny
Ever since the screaming about numbers and putting broken glass in a guys mouth then punching the guy in the mouth then handing him a gun to help you because you get ambushed, and the co-op campaign one that blew up the capacitors on the hdmi board on my avr, I’ve wrote off and ignored black ops as a bunch of insane nonsense, but so far this one seems okay. I’ll have to go back and play cold war which I got with some videocard or something and see how that one is.
I liked the modern warfare 1 reboot campaign but also it seems like something that would been much better suited as like a campaign to ground branch, or any actual tactical shooter instead of the hires duck hunt remake cod single player is. 2 was kind of incoherent as anything other than ghost/soap fujoshi bait but had the multiplayer I enjoyed the most cause they slowed it down slightly which everyone else hated, 3 was enjoyable as a big action movie sequel to 1 which is really weird why it was singled out as being uniquely awful somehow, still not exactly sure what people hated about it.
and still can’t believe they just shitcanned dmz, I’ve been chasing that high ever since trying all sorts of awful games. did you know there’s some classic series I’ve never even played and only barely remember delta force reboot, which playing I would of swore all the art and text was entirely ai generated but it’s by a chinese mobile game developer, so maybe it was or maybe that’s just how it looks. apparently it’s going to eventually have some single player campaign utilizing footage from ridley scott’s black hawk down?
That KWC level where you torture the guy with mouth glass sticks out in my memory forever… truly an all-time insane and stupid Call of Duty moment, alongside the ||Shepard betrayal|| in MW2 and the JUNGLE TOXINS AND TORTURES in Ghosts and IF ONLY US WARRIORS WERE IN CHARGE in Infinite Warfare.
so in yomawari 3, a curse is taking your memories away so you need to go around town finding items you feel a connection to then exploring the places they remind you of, in whichever order you want. i could’ve gone to the school or a mysterious locked tunnel so of course i went tunnel, which led me to needing to explore the rice field next to it for the key. got attacked by spirits, but gained protection from scarecrows as long as i kept helping them out, unwittingly getting caught up in what seems like some kinda spirit turf war. unsure if i’m even doing the right thing as the scarecrows seem to be using their power to mess up the protective monuments of some baby spirits
also started lost ruins which in every way looks like it should be one of those ryona platformers, but instead is a kinda normal pg-something or other search action that also happens to be obviously horny about girls turning into monsters and also maybe school girls in general. it’s pretty cute tho. protag has a very bridget like idle stance where she’s almost dancing for no reason. but also my reward for killing the first boss was a pair of striped panties with some stains in them. use this knowledge to gauge your comfort i guess
game’s weirdly cruel too. i found a goblin intent on escaping this hellhole who gave me a quest to open a door for him. i did so and he immediately got killed by the lady who’s gaslit the protagonist into commiting a bunch of murder. is that funny? i dunno, but my reward was the key to this clogged up toilet
playing through doom ii, you can really tell that duke nukem 3d asked the question “what if doom ii’s city stages were full of even more boring bullshit?” and then decades later, ion fury asked “what if duke nukem 3d was full of even more boring bullshit than that and also the graphics are over detailed so you can never find any of the bullshit tiny switches you have to press?”
it feels like several stages in a row 've had to look up where the exit is because it was behind one or more invisible doors
I’d believe it. I kind of just assumed it, because while it sucks to be on the receiving end, I’m sure COD types love to be the one wracking up the kills. It’s a tough balance act for the developers.
thats so funny i found this out literally today because I glanced at the heartless gaming consultant blog and they have an article about declininvg fps markets that ends with
"Call of Duty Black Ops 6 has just dropped, Delta Force is in Beta, Marvel Rivals is set to launch in early December. The prize of getting a foothold in this market is very clear – many will attempt to storm this beach, but who can stand their ground?
and similarly thought what in the world is delta force hard to imagine thats gonna ‘storm this beach’.
The ign review of the Blops 6 campaign made it sound good enough to pay for a month of gamepass to play so I might just do that this weekend.
