The only good western game is Outlaws
The 2-trilogy or the pirate one (4 I think) are still probably the best ones if you feel like you need to try one. They still arenāt great.

itās really weird when you mention a game for the first time in years and then you go to youtube to look for a video clip from ER of a doctor getting his arm chopped off by a helicopter blade and on the front page is this new video about this video game you mentioned for the first time in years.
hot take: someone just needs to make a Blood Meridian movie (and game tie-in) and then we will never need another Western again.
itās a shame it never had a sequel. George Lucas should just like use his profits from Baby Yoda merch or whatever to reopen LucasArts and fund it forever. It is the least questionable element of his legacy.
my Blood Meridian walking sim is one of my favorite abandoned projects

You know I never saw it like this but youāre right. LucasArts was his crowning achievement (well, I mean thereās ILM and stuff but letās just⦠ignore that). And, ironically, Iām 100% sure that George Lucas has no idea what, say, Defenders of Dynatron City is. Iād kill to see the blank expression in his face when some superfan mentions that (or any other LucasArts game) to himā¦
Sure grandpa letās get you to bed
the Western genre needs to be updated to modern day to be about depressed guys in their 30ās with beards trying to move to Portland and start their quirky sweater hetero fantasy life and do a start up making donuts only to realize that their ideas have all been stolen by more energetic guys in their 20ās who canāt grow beards. an epic social media war on all fronts will then commence. no one will be spared.
117 stars in SM64 and those 2 levels at the end are the absolute dirt worst, consider it a miracle if I accomplish this w o punching myself in the fucking face
LucasArts was a money-losing prestige project even when it was open, I dunno why Lucas didnāt continue to let it live putting out banger after banger
itās honestly the closest heās ever come to shepherding small experimental projects like he always claimed he actually wanted to do
The star wars games suddenly started making Real Money and they couldnāt just leave it on the table.
Especially because I think when 3d hit making the adventure games started costing real money.
I think you just described The Sisters Brothers. Well, except the modern day part.
I think I actually bought that book at Powellās too
I have played uh 12 hours of Shiren 5 between yesterday evening and today and itās fun I like it!
Item management in this game feels more meaningful than basically every other roguelike. Thereās just a lot of subtlety with the effects and how they interact with enemies. The pot system just adds extra layers on top of that. And it manages to feel tight while still operating under that āplease break the gameā ethos.
Also thereās way too much content!
Iāve been playing on Switch ā I hear the Steam port is a little janky in terms of control and display options.
this is literally the plot of first cow
Didnāt realize fire emblem was already fully formed with the first game ā i started with 7 on the gba
Sure thereās some qol missing but this is nes, baby
I was thinking about getting this soon. Can it be played without the left joystick?
