???
according to this guy, the dump with the on-disk instructions was probably from a post-Ultima rerelease, and the āalternateā dump was likely the original (though the core game file is reportedly identical in both cases)
thanks for the tip with the controls btw
Thatās crazy. It should be N for north, S for south, E for east, and W for west. Later, it should be U for up, D for down, L for left, and R for right. Those are the only controls that make any sense.
You know what I was having a brain fart, I forgot I had a joker that made all cards count as face cards. (And I was misreading the text when I googled it earlier).
An unforced error on my end and I never made the connection during the run
the edf 5 ending stays true to its simple 2000 roots by being some text over a monochrome still image
hell yeah prisoner controls ARE the best controls
Playing the Zelda Links Awakening remake with my kid. He can take the gut punch of the ending.
I think
The dungeon themes go real hard, I love them. Pair them with the OG art IMO
But then the remake look is all plastic amiibos. I assumed this was for a story reason (spoilers) but then Echoes of Wisdom used the same artstyle which renders this point nonsensical. Oh well.
Still, replaying Linkās awakening for the 100th time, Iām struck by the charm of this one more than usual. Itās the Zelda that started to have weird NPCs⦠which is the one thing that really makes the series stand out in my mind. Tingle existed thanks to Linkās awakening
wow, nice
every time they reveal a new character theme iām reminded of sonic adventure again
in case i havenāt considered recently that sf6 is basically a dreamcast game that just happened to be made 22 years late

Got that Deep Rock Galactic Survivor game. Havenāt gotten past the fourth level of the first campaign but itās pretty fun and runs well on my deck
I had a lot of fun with Hades a few years back, so I downloaded the sequel for Switch last night
Maybe Iām just not in the mood for it right now, but my first few runs with Hades 2 have left me thinking⦠okay, so itās just this? Kinda again?
Also feel like for being a sequel to such a big thing, Hades 2 isnāt making as big a splash as I thought it would? Though maybe thatās a reaction to the fact itās been Early Access forever and itās not out on MS or Sony platforms.
Also this place is the main place I read/hear about video games, so maybe itās just that no one here really cares about it
Maybe I actually just want to play other games and should come back when Iām feeling this particular appetite more
new silent hill really moves and looks great
I ended up not like promise mascot agency as much as I thought I would; the core driving around a neat little island and occasionally stopping to send your dudes out to on jobs from a menu works nicely, but it really bloats itself mechanically and narratively over itās 15ish hour run time. by the end I was left feeling scattered and cold on it, with all the parts that grabbed me initially fading into the background
I felt exactly the same way when I played it in early access. It does feel to me like basically an expansion pack on the first game⦠Which is great if you want more Hades, and I thought I wanted more Hades, but it turns out Iāve pretty much had my fill. I donāt think the basic combat is satisfying and rewarding enough for me to put in whatever amount more time it would take to get through this one.
usually if Iām feeling that way about a particular sequel I get it on a different platform. like I got Hades 1 on Switch and Hades 2 on Steam
I got Hades 2 but absolutely could not handle the main character talking some exposition to herself at regular intervals like itās Horizon. Was 1 the same?? Man
I just tried playing Biomutant and basically every bit of it just felt bad. Annoying voiceover with bad writing. Floaty gamefeel. Just a bad experience. A shame, because this oneās trailer excited me a few years ago but it is not living up to my hype
