Well, yes, but actually no
I loved Morrowind, but it really starts you underleveled.
It isn’t fun for those first few hours when your walk cycle is slow and you hit an enemy and the game tells you ‘no, you missed.’
Ban all games where a player’s skill can get negated by invisible dice rolls
Chrono Trigger on Steam.
yeah I really do think the first bit of the game is its main flaw for tons and tons of people and while the whole boat arrival at seyda neen is cool, hours two and three are pretty shit.
in fairness this is like the only thing that modern RPG design has to say to Morrowind but I think it’s overlooked by people who want to point out how much worse recent Bethesda games are
i adore morrowind but it’s fucking unbearable to play until you get the boots of blinding speed, and anyone who says otherwise is bullshitting you and themselves
I just up my athletic level with cheats at the beginning of the game
That works too lol
i think re: attacks missing it also helps to realize that your current stamina level affects your power and accuracy. If it’s low your rolls get a penalty.
Are you able to turn off individual items yet in Mario Kart because the green shell is basically the only item that should be allowed. Maybe the turbo mushroom. And that’s it!
