yeah, there are 5 stations (small alpine villages) at different heights which are where you spawn in from the main menu, and each race/stunt track can be entered both through an official event starting line, and through a free ride side entrance. if you choose free ride for the race tracks, you continue on past the finish line to the next station down the mountain.

I’ve been really into this channel of old videogame and game-adjacent commercials lately BUT I think the auditory experience of watching commercials for longer than 10 seconds is horrible. So I watch them on mute with my own bgm of choice
