yeah, there are 5 stations (small alpine villages) at different heights which are where you spawn in from the main menu, and each race/stunt track can be entered both through an official event starting line, and through a free ride side entrance. if you choose free ride for the race tracks, you continue on past the finish line to the next station down the mountain.
