I love the specificity of it all.
no matter what else you do make sure jessica learns twin dragon lash ASAP it slam dunks most boss fights right into the fucking trash
someday i will do the playthrough where i put her in the lead and max out her whip & sexy skills and make all the boys fight with their fists
This DQ3 remake totally whips so far. I just got the thiefās key. So charming! I donāt know what Iām doing at all, but Iāve got a thief, priest, and gaddabout (couldnāt resist). I guess the gaddabout class is the worldās first magikarp? Gaming history on my very own TV screen!
Also, I havenāt played this game before, but it seems like full healing after leveling up is totally fucking up the balance⦠Iāve been adventuring for hours and havenāt needed an inn once. Iām playing on normal difficulty.
been saying this. even evolves at level 20
Yeah, I donāt mind the healing thing when I just wanna breeze through the game, but it does make it too easy sometimes (all of the times).
Normal in the remake is way too easy Iām afraid, you gotta put it on draconian
The heal after level up thing still totally breaks the endurance aspects of early dungeons but imo thatās a lot less distracting when the battles arenāt too easy
In my DQ3 game, I got the cat suit as a random drop from a battle and put it on my weakest party member and it boosted their Def by like 2x more than my other equipment lol
In exchange, they look ridiculous and I canāt enjoy seeing my custom character, so I took it off though
I had this for a while with my Monster Wrangler. The stat boost was great but it just made all the big story moments feel too goofyā¦had to switch her back.
I normally would never do this, but you know what? Iām going to give it a try. I thought the difficulty level of the OG NES Dragon Quest 1 was so compelling. I could really feel the numbers in a way I normally donāt. I want that feeling back!
they kind of oversell it if anything! it is not an extremely difficult punishing mode, it is basically on par with every DQ release prior to 11 (which was also a dramatically better game with the tougher monsters toggle)
i thank god every day that they started putting hard modes in these across the board⦠i was starting to get depressed in that stretch from ix to vii3ds when every release was set firmly to iām too young to die
I woke up with a sore throat, took a sick day, and then lost to Mado four more times. The fifth time? That was my time. I then spent hours with the world as my oyster. I was a changed man. I really just want to keep playing and never stop now.
have i got the dq for you
canāt for the life of me get dq11 non-definitive to run at all. I click the icon and nothing happens, canāt even get to a point where I can get an error log to generate
composite cables are fucked up canāt play dq8 wahh. gotta see if I can find the av cables
the more i think about it the more i like the first dragon quest. i cannot even describe the series of emotions i felt running into my very first metal slime, at level 20, on the way to the dragon lords castle to finish the game, only for it to flee instantly before the battle interface even appeared
