thinking about this stuff again but apparently the de10 nano alone is now £250
what’s the status on clones etc?
I think the DE10 nano is as good as it gets, Intel subsidise it?
you can order a Superstation one for about £190, comes with the same chip. about the same as a second-hand MiSTer
- aliexpress hamgeek: pcb case / metal case
- aliexpress qmtech: pcb case
- retroremake mister pi: unavailable
- retroremake superstation one: preorder (do not trust their ship dates lol)
Much more expensive than those but I am happy with it and it has an on/off button:
I love bad apple in all its forms
Amazing how crisp that looks for only 8 colors
Just saw a post if you got a Superstation do not use the included console bios because it breaks things.
Now the Mister can play Pico-8 games which is cool. That’s a whole ecosystem I’ve said I would investigate several times then do not.
If you’ve bought any of the enormous itch bundles you already have a collection of Pico games to try. It is still unclear to me what a Pico game file looks like. Sometimes it is a picture.
can i play that MK2 3DO port on my mister?
Wonder what makes 3DO MK2 the superior port?
If I recall right, I think it had the best Samsho 1 port too, at the time
The 3DO port is from last year and made by some freaks that love the 3DO and MK2.
Yeah I heard from Digital Foundry pod that it was basically a homebrew 3DO port of MK2 that is now the closest thing to Arcade perfect that exists in console form. Apparently the previous console ports were all severely lacking
You have to self-compile the beta 3DO core or grab it from the mister forums with an account.

I’ll see if I can have the latest core make an Axe apperance later.
2007 MKII on PS3 is still the best port as far as i know
3DO cannot display the full resolution of the arcade board, and is not arcade perfect. it is very impressive though and probably better than most of the contemporary ports
I always dream about taking one of these modern day fan remasters and taking them back to the past and showing kid me. Having things like arcade perfect MK2 on 3DO would have been amazing to kid me both because I’ve never seen a 3DO before and also why is this old man in my house
Imagine just dropping off an emulation handheld to a 90s kid and having their mind blown at the future
Wow the 3DO can produce some crisp graphics.
Despite the CDi core being in the main depository, you need the unstable core to run 90% of games/products because the main does not have the video processor yet. The CDi core is more a video player than a game console.
