A month ago a friend of mine had a general meetup so that friends and family could meet his child who was born during quarantine, and some of my highschool friends asked if there was anything I was playing these days, and I had to hold my tongue for a second to not automatically read off the commercial cue card.
But I still recommended the game to them because I thought they’d probably like it. At this point every FF14 player is a commercial for the game because it kinda seems like everyone enjoys playing the game.
I am becoming very ensnared in playing dress up in this game. it totally shames wow in that regard. it actually has fewer dress up options than wow, but it turns out when your models are a lot better and your art design is way better, and you make sure most of the basic stuff looks good, and you add a dye system… well, yeah. I examine E V E R Y O N E because I need to learn about this gear. also you can make a LOT of casual wear glamours, or stuff that otherwise actually looks real. there are very few options to do that in wow
heavy downside: they know. a lot of the stuff you want is from the store. a lot of that stuff was previously attainable in game, but, well, it ain’t now. also I need to be 80 so I can get the nier stuff, christ those boots go with everything
it is level 80 mining gear that you get from a coffer purchased with 3000 firmament scrips. i was able to afford a bunch of coffers the week i was doing competitive gathering
speaking of competitive gathering mining has made my number go even higher
MAAAYBE I will jump back into it. I dont have much time / energy for games like this… maybe when my life is more in order (maybe when I am truly despaired)
