What’s the over under on CvS3 in the next (this?) console generation?
Capcom/SNK relations are better than they have been in a long time, but I don’t know if I’d jump immediately to a CVS3? Guest characters seem more likely for the time being.

I want don’t want CvS3 in 3D, it already had the perfect feel as far as movement and impact – throw a few new sprites in there and sell it as a mid-budget title

So has anybody here pre-ordered Guilty Gear Strive? If you did then the network beta test will be available in like 30 minutes for you. For everybody else it will be free to download on PS4 and PS5 24 hours later.
People seem real positive (bonus) about the netcode so far but real down on the terraria lobbies. The damage is also so high and rounds so fast that a lot of people are preferring to fight best to 3 rounds instead of the usual 2 which I don’t think is a standard for any 2d fighting game out there at all?

I think BBTag was in a similar place? I remember hearing people complain about various tournaments choosing to stick with BO3.
I haven’t preordered it but I feel almost morally obliged to buy it to support good rollback implementations in Japanese games, really what I want is all the other ASW games to get rollback rereleases and/or patches.
Strive looks really visually dull to me compared to Xrd, and the UI (and edgelord habbo hotel) is still really embarrassing to look at, and as we know, the only reason to play fighting games is aesthetics.

Hopefully that’s only the end of the fighting games. Since Metal Slug 8 is in development, I hope SNK will port Metal Slug 1st and 2nd Mission.

I picked up CFC recently for my NGPC. It’s no MTG but it’s pretty enjoyable for what it is. The card art and the wealth of ip mining is a lot of the fun.
