slappinâ radio station they are listening to, oozing driver vibes indeed!
(⌠driving around in a black Cadillac plus that glasses + front spoiler combo is the equivalent of turning up at a funeral w/ a lightning mc queen paintjob hearse, just sayinâ
i am now semi-seriously assembling Schemes to get a merc 124 coupe and turn it into a brokeboi amg (paintjob, bodykit, new wheels, lower it, do some aggressive weight relief)
videogames are dangerous
Saw this neat old Piaggio Ape being used as a prop at the grocery store, a few days ago.
IâŚfoolishly went up to the lady manning the samples station and blurted out âIs this your truck?!â while excitedly pointing at it, before realizing she worked for the grocery store. She gave me a real âoh, honeyâ look.
So, this yearâs Le Mans 24h is around the corner, and all hands are on deck to kick off BoP-whining, ⌠ready, set, whining commencing rrrrright now.
Why? Well, thereâs the half-arsed attempt of the ACO to bring back into the fray âŚ
the beautiful Glickenhaus
the one-off (for now) new liveried Peugeot 9X8s
and plucky Vanderwellwall
canât they let at least the first session commence ⌠but then they want to prop up the spectacle, so if it works, all will be well.
Anyway, since the centenary is creeping up on us and pretty much will be the biggest event this year, anyone going to be there?
If not, youâll at least be able to race the Caddy V-Series.R in the next Forza
and wait for the pixxx of the new Alpine Hypercar which will be racing next year:
(n.b. if you wondered:
Yes, Iâll be there! Received my tickets today, so I will be going with six friends of mine, my brother and my god son. I will post a few pics as it happens!)
another evasive driving /ambush guide, this time from 1988 with lots of synths
Period Can-Am doc (1970) the greatest racing series ever (IMO) on one of the greatest race tracks ever.
1978 Documentary of a Jeep expedition from the southern tip of south America to Alaska.
Its very âschool film stripâ feeling. Tall hats, extremely hairy.
I like how a lot of the ramming techniques in these videos would demolish a modern car since the engine is designed to drop down and airbags deploy on impacts like that. (This is great for driver safety, itâs just not a viable defense practice anymore).
Also lol @ hopping up on a curb in a modern factory car with 20" wheels on rubber band tires.
I really feel like theyâre gonna capitalize on the EV false start everyone is grumbling about right now and while I can see how it feels like a retrenchment, my prius c has been the most reliable, economical vehicle Iâve ever owned by miles and miles, and I am thrilled that theyâre making the regular prius that compelling
Iâm still hoping to put off a new car purchase until solid state batteries but I would not be that upset if I had to get the new prius for whatever reason
