so i’m finding throttle control on pad is hard
mucking around with deadzones doesn’t help, so i guess i just need a much firmer spring in the trigger that resists flooring it more stubbornly

throttle controls and steering on a gamepad really suck theres not much between 0 and 100. a wheel setup is pretty much your best bet, any games that dont offer heavy assist for controller based driving are not ideal

which is why i transitioned away from F1 games to sports car racing/GTs at a … relatively… young age. Good to know things didn’t change!
(j/k is on me, since i had so much fun driving indycars in Project Cars 1, with a proper wheelbase and G29, over a decade later)

they have two of these (and set to Nürburgring 24h footage, for gods sake!) and even have other playlists like night time drive around Seoul
, or holiday cruising around Jeju island
No idea why, but Hyundai just gets it, whereas all the other carmakers seem totally out of touch with car culture or seem almost afraid to make any statement at all, aside from featuring 0.5 second glimpses of huge-ass electric cars driving in remote places where you are almost guaranteed to find no charging station… whereas Hyundai thinks its cool to showcase a TCR racecar drive around a 14 mile racetrack at night

Ive entered a world of talking cars (choro q wonderful).
It has parts tuning. You find or earn parts in the open town.
Deal with odd characters
Complete little quests and challenges to advance your journey. Ive counted cows, navigated a maze and rescued fireworks mortars from rolling into a lake.
There is also of course Choro Q racing which is obtuse and weird but somehow very fun. This game hates drifting and has no analog input so its quite touchy.
Is it a good game? I dont know but i stayed till 3am playing it, its deff fun. Im on the second town now and I can just about aaaalmost get first in that towns’ big race.
I forgot to take pix while driving around but the world is very charming.

one thing that ChoroQ games just get right is scale — thei chibi/SD cars just ooze character and you can tell who/what model you are talking to.

I gotta go to the 24 hours of the nurburgring. Campin. Drinkin all day. Race cars. Gotta cheer on the Manta they race every year.
biggest tragedy of the race: The Dacia Logan got totalled by a Porsche. the Logan is the SLOWEST car on the ring, it finished last year and became a fan favorite

yes, the Dacia Logan is a new fan favorite. When i heeded the call and made good on Godfather Duties earlier this year, i.e. drove to the Nürburgring w/ godchild to watch the third VLN round, since he won two tickets in some social network raffle and none of his buddies could make it on short notice, we got the full treatment with pitwalk, gridwalk, visiting the race control room. During pitwalk, it was actually hard to get a good, clean shot of the Dacia!
was the best I managed.
And even in Parc Ferme, couldn’t spot the little Logan, so you have to be content with a snapshot of an Evil Audi up close,
So, YES, the outpouring 'F’s are indeed heartfelt, and i really hope they turn up next year again.
n.b. afaik, the Logan has gotten a motor-swap treatment and probably uses a Clio RS I4 2.0 Litre engine, use an online-translator of your choice to read more useless trivia here:
