Fading Brakelight Obscurity III - Green-Orange-Checkered Edizione

I think it’s the same as their current wheels, you gotta pick either pc/playstation or pc/xbox.

Oh, yeah, you’re right. That’s a spicy meatball, etc.

Nice looking, Clubsport-esque, new load cell pedals too.

MSRP: $1000 wheel, $350 pedals.

I know what we’re all thinking: where’s the new shifter, guys? Does our young and smooth-faced new friend Lando Norris not know how to drive stick?

Considering that the pedals alone cost almost as much as the predecessor wheel+pedals (G29), this is not a cheapo deal, yyyeah.

Being able to decrease the brake force is a major USP, since the G29 brake pedal is even harder to modulate than a real world 996 brake, which needs dedicated pedalling as i learned by now. What’s missing is the feedback in the pedal, which the G29 could not simulate… would be great to be able to have a go testing this kit before plunging down the cash, otoh if one doesn’t order on day 1, probably won’t be able geting one before 2025

  • Clicky-stick instead of d-pad
  • Two extra back-paddles are full-analog
  • Wheelbase case is plastic, front grille area of base is air intake for the fan
  • Unclear if the pedal case is also plastic? Looks the same though.

I appreciate the dedication to the shitbox.

I haven’t had a chance to drive it since they added it in, but the Group B spec looks real neat.

I understand that the BeamNG guys hired top-shelf Assetto (3d modeler) modder Alberto Daniel Russo / “A3DR”, a while back, and based on…skimming some 2nd-hand Discord messages…I think he might be in charge of these remasters in addition to heading up the Civetta Scintilla.

It’s real spicy! I drove it around the rally track today. It really likes to get sideways when you give it the beans.

Walking around my neighborhood in Chicago today I came across this kei truck (with steering wheel on the right side) in the wild and I had to share.

Based on the kanji it seems to be an old fire department truck. Thought about leaving a note with my phone number to discuss this truck further.

  1. emulate Win95 somehow
  • Install win95 in dosbox somehow
  • There’s a portable version of win95 as an Electron app, so…Javascript?!?
  1. Emulate a classic mac somehow

Yesterday’s CL find. A god damned Volvo 850 with a racing rollcage in it. It comes with the engine and the seller is in the process of finishing up the fabrication, all it needs is to be put back together. What a spicy swedish meatball. Imagine stunting on greying gen x microsoft execs driving their porshes at the HPDE in a station wagon.

And during lunch I spotted a god damned Citroen DS, but they drove too fast through the intersection before I could pull my phone out, all I got was this parting shot between trucks
