thanks, it is a wonderful color that is hard to catch in a photograph:
Its green/blueish mica-color looks somewhat dark/almost black mica-esque from some angles/with different lighting, grey interior will need intensive care to remain as pristine as it looks, but it survived eight owners, so it is almost a hand-me-down kind of obligation to take care of it.
(and yeah, it really was/is hard to find a 996 that isn’t silver/black (because why would you tick the box of a color when you can have … silver ), with a sunroof (or, jackpot, a targa) plus an automatic gearbox no less - the anti-sportiest of all elevens. It took me almost three years to find this one, or rather until it found me!)
Remembered something I cut from the Auto Museum 64 release for reasons I forgot. I reskinned one of the Ridge Racer cars to look like the Jenny Holzer BMW V12 LMR, complete with ridge racer pixel font for the phrases. The number is flipped because I fucked the texture mapping (it’s hard! on old n64 games)
Every time I think about GT7, I just want to boot up a good PC racing game or an older Gran Turismo or Forza Motorsport game instead.
I can’t even put my finger on exactly why.
Maybe it’s the super slow load times on the PS4 pro. Maybe it’s how incredibly soulless it feels despite their attempts to inject soul in. Maybe it’s the focus on building a collection of cars over actually living with the cars you’ve purchased and figuring out how to make them competitive.
I guess we’ve covered this before, but I’m thinking about it again.
I would _love_ to see Michael Bay's 'Tomica Town Madness', the 2024 Scorching Earth Summer Blockbuster starring Emma Stone, Margot Robbie, Rami Malek, Ryan Gosling and George Clooney as the arch villain....
with french dub, this scene comes out way, way better, but just for the feeling of it - that slammed ice cream (it’s not a donut truck, don’t @ me!!!) truck is ace
